Glad we found this little gem of a place

Great little site, greeted with a warm welcome [and a welcome pack] from Sue and John...... Only a 30 min walk through some lovely woods and side roads down to the beach, once there you can head right or left along the edge of the beach for miles, Head right to Mudeford [2.5 miles] where you can rest up at the pub overlooking the estuary [that leads by boat to Christchurch] Easy access to bus stops [which are at the end of the short drive] that can take you east or west on a great and cheep bus ride to Bournemouth, Christchurch or Lymington [current price is £2 for a single trip] Originally we had only booked for 3 nights but soon extended it to 10 nights because of all the things to do, Its been a great summer holiday for us, enjoyed our stay immensely! and the weather was brilliant too, what else could we want. will return again I'm sure. Many thanks Sue, and kind regards. Knobby!!

Lovely private site

A lovely site with great friendly owners. Welcome pack on arrival with all the information you need, including directions to walk to the beach. There is also a bus stop outside the entrance to either Lymington one way or Christchurch & Bournemouth in the other direction. Still only £2 pp per trip when we visited. 5/10 min walk to a local pub serving food. We were lucky to be able to stay a few extra days. Easy to find from the main road. There is a single track entrance, however this is very short and did not pose a problem at all in a 8.2 mtr motorhome.

Lovely site lovely owners

Staying here for a 2 week holiday. Wonderful site, owners Sue and John are lovely friendly, informative people. Site is well sheltered so even if windy you don't get a great deal. Great for visiting the local area. There's a lovely walk down to the beach through the woods. Access from main road easy, and easy to find. All in all little gem, would highly recommend

some good some bad points

Great location for visiting the local area. Lovely people who own the site. Unfortunately the two pitches nearest the entrance have very little grass and would be a nightmare in wet weather. The pitches are very close together and with the site being surrounded by high hedges and large trees it makes it feel very hemmed in. No views at all. I am also glad we didn't have a 8ft wide van as the approach off the main road over a narrow railway bridge would have been a challenge to say the least.

Lovely site, lovely proprietors

This is, as everyone agrees, a tranquil site that affords time to chill and relax. The proprietors, Sue and John are brilliant people who are welcoming, chatty and love to share experiences with you. We took our kittens with us (second trip with them) and were extremely grateful to Sue and John who took it in their stride and were fascinated by the prospect of having a couple of cheeky scamps on their site. Brilliant people running a lovely site. One caution: take some levelling blocks with you, because, if you are on one of the first 3 pitches, you will need them.

Oak Cottage

We stayed here for the first time last week and it lived up to the previous reviews that have been written. Sue and John were really helpful with local information and helped us to source a new leisure battery when ours failed. We would recommend it and will be returning.

HAPPY DAYS

Stayed at Oak Cottage for 4days for the first time and we thoroughly enjoyed it, Sue and John are so lovely and friendly and welcoming we tried to extend our stay. but they were fully booked. Will definitely be back as soon as we can. lots of places to visit without travelling too far and lots of walking too from pitch, a great place to stay, thanks Sue and John.

Great value, very peaceful and friendly owners.

Wonderful 4 night stop, first time here for us! The site has all the facilities that we required, ehu, fresh water, elsan disposal and re cycle rubish piont. Very friendly and welcoming owners offering local advice including a printed sheet with all the bus times, pubs, walks, hospital numbers and take aways that deliver to the site. There is a railway line nearby but not intrusive at all! The walk through the bunny to the sea is easy and not to far at all! We are both in our mid 70s no problem! The bus stops at the bottom of the drive to Bournemouth one way and Lymington the other via New Milton are fairly regular and we used them. Will return, thank you so much.
