Lovely site

Great communication from Max when booking and a very warm welcome upon arrival. Very relaxed re where to set up and no long list of rules. Easy access to nearby village. Max was heading into King's Lynn at the same time as us and very kindly dropped us off. Will definitely return if visiting the area again. Thank you Max.

Excellent site

What an excellent site , superb location with lovely view of church, and within a mile walk into the village with shops and pub Nice flat grassed field as well as a large hardstanding area for larger units or for when the weather is a bit inclement and the ground is soft Extremely pleasant owner who is very helpful and accommodating. Usual CDP and water taps and well cared for shower/ toilet room ,no charge for shower Site also benefits for EHU for those that want it All in all a super little site that we will be returning to

Fleeting Visit

Stayed for single night in early December to attend a function in the village. Pitch already allocated for our arrival with the usual welcome pack of leaflets, which would put many Tourist Information Centres to shame, even though we were there just for the one night. Ground was soggy after snow the day before so requested to park on hard-standing and use motor-mover to get caravan in, could be a problem for motor-homers or older vans without movers, but there is a tractor available if required. Maxine & Ray(?) very welcoming and friendly. Pretty peaceful location, however, road noise from the nearly A47 may be an issue for light sleepers. Facilities-wise, very good, all clearly marked and easy to find. Walk into village takes 15-20 minutes for able-bodied with pavement and street-lighting after first quarter-mile. Recommend The Barn restaurant set behind the Woolpack pub.

No More To Be Said

We stayed here for a week in summer and can highly recommend this site . Maxine was on hand as we arrived and made us very welcome , our pitch had our name on it with a welcome pack of info both of places to visit and of the local village (approx. 1/2 mile away) .Pitches were flat and well maintained . A waste pipe was provided on all pitches so we didn't have to bother emptying wastemaster all the time . Toilet and shower room by main house (nice and clean) only very short walk from pitch . Slight noise from A47 but not obtrusive and didn't disturb us at all . Only word of warning , if you stay here in Summer and they come to cut grass (as during our stay) make sure you close all windows and door of your 'van , as all the little midges take flight and they can get round flyscreens as they are so small !!!! If you're an animal lover Maxine has a few horses in adjoining field and watch out at dusk for the owls that come to perch nearby . All in all a lovely stay with lovely people !!!!!

Lovely warm welcome

This is a pleasant, rural site in a village near King's Lynn. It is in a flat, open field next to the house. A church stands across the next field - worth visiting. No chimes to disturb you though! We booked the hardstanding which was labelled with a welcome sign for us, behind which was a pack of leaflets and other material specifically for us. The owner, Maxine, was in the adjacent field and welcomed us warmly as soon as we arrived, telling us about the facilities, which included a pipe for grey water disposal. There was a clean and well appointed shower room with basin and toilet, as well as a sheltered noticeboard with further information. We wished we had booked for longer and will definitely be back. Excellent value for money at just £12.00 a night. Thank you!

A very pleasent find..

We stayed here over the new year period and was very content with the site, greeting and location. On arrival we were the only campers on site but was told to use the hard standing area, this I was glad of as it rained and the grounds became very soft under foot and my van is 'notorious' for getting bogged -down. The site itself is gated, level with fields to one side (horses and sheep) and high bush surrounding, the toilet and shower room are nearer the house about 100-200 yds away, directions to this are on the side gate. We never used the shower but I observed it to be of a decent standard, hand wash/paper towels and toilet paper are provided. Water, waste disposal and information are provided and located near the entrance gate. Mrs M was a very charming lady, ever so apologetic about missing us on day one but that not problem. Will be returning here without a question as we visit this area quite a lot. Lovely, site/grounds Lovely people Thank you....

Lovely site

We stayed here just for two nights on our way to Norfolk Broads site. Lovely site and a very warm welcome from Maxine. The site is on a slight slope but is very well maintained. There is some noise from the A47 but not enough to stop the peace and tranquillity of the site. There is a toilet and shower in one of the outbuildings, great after a long walk along the lanes with the dogs. Lovely little village with just about everything you may need although I wouldn't recommend the fish and chip shop. All in all a great little site to be recommended. We will be back.

Gorgeous CL, West Norfolk

We spent four nights here at the start of August. Immaculately maintained field with lovely views to the church; really friendly owner who provided lots of useful local information. Immediate surroundings are lovely for walking and pottering. We did the ‘Tornado Trail’ in King’s Lynn and found the nearby Fenland and West Norfolk Aviation Museum fascinating, with a really enthusiastic and knowledgeable gentleman to talk us through the exhibits and ‘scrapyard’. We also visited RSPB Snettisham. A lovely relaxing stay, thank you.
