perfect

stayed here for 7 nights and it was perfect, the site is well maintained and they facilities are fit for purpose. Finding our allocated pitch was a doddle as there was a post with out name on indicating our pitch. As they only have 5 vans at any time there was plenty of space as the field is large. There was a welcome pack full of leaflets for various places to visit. Max is lovely and very welcoming. Other people have mentioned road noise but we didn't find this a problem. Once you leave the site you can walk for miles down the lanes All in all it is a great site and we will be back later this year.

Great CL, very peaceful.

We stayed here for 3 nights and found it very easy to find and a good sized level site. It was very quiet, as we were the only ones on site from Sunday. The shower and toilet were adequate for our needs. Max, the owner, was very friendly and supplied a full range on leaflets etc to the area. There is a bit of rumble from the A47 and a bit of aircraft noise at times, neither of which we found intrusive. All in all a great site.

A little gem

Quiet site ( except for a bit of RAF activity), bit of a walk to the village for shop/pub/restaurant. Roomy paddock EHU, Shower, WC. Good price at £11 in August when we went. Max was very friendly, I'd definitely go again.

Spacious & Well Kept

We have just spent the weekend on this site, it was easy to find and an information pack was provided on arrival. It's spacious and well kept with nice views to the church and surrounding chickens, ponies and sheep.  Nice peaceful site, there was some road noise from the A47 but I suppose it depends on the wind direction and it was quite windy.  Would certainly visit again.  Local pub food was good but don't allow dogs inside, so had to sit in the garden which was quite pleasant.

The Old School House Terrington St Johns (May 2014)

We have just returned home from a weeks stay at the Old School House CL owned by Mr and Mrs Munday, what a lovely, pleasant couple, so helpful. we enjoyed it so much we stayed for a couple of extra days. On arrival we were met with a welcome pack containing lot's of information about the surrounding area Sandringham, Kings Lynn, Wisbech together with loads of information such as doctors supermarkets pubs and local shops. the site was flat quiet and well looked after with lots of space. Our pitch overlooked the local village church of St John's. The site is dog friendly with a quiet lane next to the site where you can walk your dog. We only wish it was closer to Wigan so that we could use it more frequently. We will visit the Munday's again!.

April 2014

Our first visit to a CL and we were made to feel very welcome by Max. Beautiful surroundings, level pitch, very clean facilities, plenty of information on surrounding area. Local shop, takeaway, and pub. Very impressed by our visit and will return in the future.

Helpful Owners

We found this site easily just off of the A47 but not so close as to be too noisy. We arrived to find our pitch was reserved with a bag of information and leaflets. The nearest village was about 10 minutes away on our bikes and had a little store for basics. The fish and chip shop just behind the store sold a tasty supper!!! We also visited the pub, but only for a drink, it seemed popular for diners though. We visited King's Lynn and used the leaflet to follow an interesting walk which meant we saw and discovered more than we would have done. We visited a number of National Trust properties, Titchwell RSPB Reserve and Wisbech. We ran out of gas but our spanner to undo the top was still at home, the owner lent us one to enable us to change it. By the way I found a handy iphone app to locate Calor Gas Stockists nearby. Would definitely stay here again.

Feb/Mar Visit

As other reviewers have stated, a very pleasant site with friendly owners. They now have one hardstanding pitch, which was fortunate as the field was quite soft following the winter rains. One drawback was the noise from the A47 during the night when the wind light and from the south. The lane outside of the site is very quite, though and ideal for walking ones dog. TV reception is a bit hit and miss but phone reception was good, so we could use our laptop & Ipad. Kings Lynn, Wisbech & Sandringham are all quite close, as is the Norfolk coast. Will use this site again when we're in the area.

September 2013

What a delightful site run by a friendly and helpful lady! This was the first time I had been greeted with a pack giving information about the area. Also clear directions as to what we are expected to do with "grey water" - often a problem for motorhomes visiting CLs or sites without special facilities for us. Altogether a very positive experience, - and with both toilet and shower thrown in for the very competitive charge. We will certainly use this site again if we are in the area.
