Elsan point and bins inside a wooden enclosure by second set of gates . Dennis comes around every so often to check all ok , but he can be reached by phone at most times (leave a message and he'll respond) . Golf Club and Pub right opposite on A525 , busy during the day but pretty quiet at night . Madeley (local village) has couple shops for basics , while main shops and superstores in Newcastle-u-Lyme or Crewe , both about 15 mins away . Keele University just down the road and the Potteries bit further on . Wedgwood and Gladstone Museums both worth a visit if you have time . Pity no toilet on site .
