Absolutely Stunning

Arrive on site to a very warm and friendly welcome from the owner Greg, after showing us to our pitch was given a very informative brief on the facilities and made to feel very welcome, outstanding welcome pack which included treats for our 2 dog in their own named bags ( lots of personal touches goes along way). The site was very clean and well maintained, great dog exercise area and the site being very peaceful. The facilities are spotlessly clean and to a very high standard We will be returning for long next time, loved everything about it. The best CL sites we have ever been too. It is a credit to the owners. Thank you so much.

Outstanding

A holiday at this site is an absolute treat. The pre-arrival communication was spot on and on arrival we were welcomed with an excellent information pack, personalised welcome card and dog biscuits plus poo bags for our two travelling companions. The site is immaculate, each pitch being fully serviced and beautifully laid out. As per previous reviews have stated the facilities offered are above and beyond what you would expect and all maintained to the highest standard. A beautifully heated shower room, with shower caps, cotton buds, and radio provided really make your holiday special. Evening meals and breakfast are on offer and during our stay we booked a Sunday lunch - wow what a treat - at the agreed time Greg the owner turned up at our caravan with the most wonderful Sunday roast complete with Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, gravy and sauces - half an hour later a super crumble arrived! This is what memories are made of. Greg and Lou certainly know the meaning of customer service and provide this in such a friendly and warm manner you feel you are staying with friends. This was our first trip away this year and what a way to start , the bar has really been set high.

Return to an absolute gem.

We have visited the lovely poole farm before, and loved it.This visit didn't disappoint, the only downside was the weather which of course is no reflection on the site. The fact that it is hardstanding is a bonus on set days. We were welcomed by Greg who showed us what had been down since our last visit. The added addition of the new separate loo,and hut with the laundry ,freezer ,and of course lou's home frozen meals, and name chutney was very welcome. We had a lasagne, and chicken and leek pie one evening which went down very well. We cannot fault anything at Poole farm,it is as always immaculate in every way.We are fairly local, living about an hour and a half away down west, but we still found lots of places to visit. Nothing is too much trouble for Greg, and Lou,and they are always on hand if you should need them.We were sorry to hear home, especially as the sun came out,but will definitely be back.

Fabulous!

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at Poole Farm and I cannot rate the site highly enough! Greg and Lou cannot do enough for you to make your stay enjoyable from the cup of tea and shortbreads on arrival to the complimentary cream scones delivered when you choose..... The site has 5 pitches and are all hard standing on gravel with electric hook up, waste and water. There is room on every pitch to site an awning. The site has a little stream with a bridge over to gain access to the dog walk area and this stream flows into the river Tamar at the bottom of the site. There is a 'hut' on site which is a beautiful garden room containing the facilities. One section contains an area containing a laundry area on the right and on the left a little shop and leaflets about the surrounding area. Within this section there is a fridge and freezer containing milk to purchase and also frozen home made ready meals. There are some caravan items for sale but Greg has other items if you have forgotten something. There is also a lovely display of Lou's homemade jams and chutneys to purchase. The next section is a dog wash and also the area to empty the toilet waste. Next to this is an individual toilet and then next door a shower room. These facilities are second to none even having a radio already tuned to Radio 2 for listening to whilst showering. There are toiletries available and he heating was set to 20 degrees so super cosy!! Lou is a trained chef by profession and you can pre-book cooked breakfasts and pastries and also evening meals. We enjoyed an evening meal, Sunday lunch and a cooked breakfast during our stay. The food is simply truly delicious. All served piping hot to your van..... This site is a wonderful find and Greg, Lou, Harvey (and Rufus) deserve all the awards they get. If you are in this area please visit and I can guarantee you will be delighted that you did and will leave planning your next visit!!

What an absolutely amazing site!!!

From the first contact to the end of our stay we received 5* treatment. Lou was extremely helpful guiding me through the booking process. Before our arrival we were given the option of ordering a Sunday roast meal & dessert if you wish delivered to your pitch (which we did and it was delicious!) Coffee/Tea and biscuits were offered when we got to the site. It seems that I'm saying a lot about the food but we also had a complimentary Cream tea (think we gained about 10lbs each by the end of our stay!!) Anyway enough about the food for the mo. The site itself was extremely tranquil, picturesque & tidy. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for either Greg or Lou. Great clean & warm shower & toilet facilities along with a fantastic cabin from which you could acquire information about the area as well as having the opportunity to purchase essentials, eggs, jams, chutneys, Lou's delicious frozen prepared meals along with other goodies. Back to the foodie bit again, Guests can order meals and desserts to be delivered to your pitch the following day (We took advantage of this and guess what? Yes they were delicious) All in all our favourite C/L by a long way. We most definitely will return if we can find a space in their booking page. Well done to Louise, Greg & Harvey your hard work and dedication certainly shines through and you deserve every accolade you receive.

The best CL site I have ever stayed on

Well what can I say we was meant to be staying here at Xmas but due to work had to reschedule Till now we have had eight nights here and what a extremely warm welcome from the owners Who made you feel like you have know them for years. We was shown our pitch which was a large gravel pitch with water & waste And the first class shower and toilet facilities which was nicer then some hotels I have stayed in And the little shop with home made food in the freezer and homemade jams and pickles You can definitely see why this little Gem of a site has won so many awards Would we come back 100% Would we recommend 100% Greg & Louise thank you for a fabulous stay and for the complimentary cream tea was first class

Frosty Winter Break

We have just had a fabulous and frosty winter break at Poole Farm. It was our first visit to this site and we look forward to going back again later this year. An extremely well organised site run by Greg and Louise. The facilities are first class and they have thought of everything to ensure a comfortable stay It was lovely to meet you both. Thanks to Louise for the delicious meals that we ordered during our stay, and to Greg who, despite the very chilly temperatures, delivered them right to our door. This was a real treat for us

THE VERY BEST

We stayed at this CL for the first time over the New Year for 8 nights. This site, as has been well documented by other reviews is wonderful. I just cannot fault it in any way. The pitches are over clean gravel and drain well. This was very relevant for us as we experienced the wettest week ever!! But having all facilities to each pitch made our lives more easy. I cannot recommend this site highly enough. Thank you.

Our favourite CL

I wholeheartedly agree with all the lovely things other reviewers have said. We have been going to Poole Farm for a few years now, and we'd go more often if we could. We love the site and the walks around the area and the warm welcome from Greg and Lou. We thought when we first visited that it couldn't get any better, but each time we go it seems there's another improvement. We can't recommend Poole Farm highly enough.
