THE VERY BEST

We stayed at this CL for the first time over the New Year for 8 nights. This site, as has been well documented by other reviews is wonderful. I just cannot fault it in any way. The pitches are over clean gravel and drain well. This was very relevant for us as we experienced the wettest week ever!! But having all facilities to each pitch made our lives more easy. I cannot recommend this site highly enough. Thank you.

Our favourite CL

I wholeheartedly agree with all the lovely things other reviewers have said. We have been going to Poole Farm for a few years now, and we'd go more often if we could. We love the site and the walks around the area and the warm welcome from Greg and Lou. We thought when we first visited that it couldn't get any better, but each time we go it seems there's another improvement. We can't recommend Poole Farm highly enough.

Wonderful

Stayed here for 1 night on way to Cornwall. Last minute booking. Wonderful welcome. Site immaculate. Shower and toilets super clean with homely touches. Greg and Louise work hard to ensure you have a perfect experience. Will be returning for a longer stay. Recommend highly.

Nice site

Spent one night to visit friends nearby. The site was very well equipped and well kept, the owners were very helpful and friendly. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful place

Wow! Where do we start? Beautifully well kept site with every amenity you need.. spotless shower room and WC , a dear little wishy washy hut with a good stock of homemade jams, chutneys and frozen evening meals for sale as well as washing machine ,dryer and sink for washing up…a dog wash area with shampoos and a dryer included ..a very nice dog walk paddock, each pitch is fully serviced and has ample room. The icing on the cake ( so to speak) has to be Lou’s talent as a chef…we ordered a Sunday roast which was cooked by Lou and delivered to our van by Greg ,three vegetarian meals and one roast beef, all were tasty, hot and very much enjoyed …really good portion sizes and good value .. We visited Launceston castle,Widemouth beach and Padstow during our weekend and we are already thinking about when we can return ! Thank you Lou and Greg for such a lovely weekend x

Fantastic site with fantastic owners.

A very pretty, peaceful site with fantastic facilities. The dog walk is enclosed & ideal for the morning & evening outings. There are some lovely walks direct from the site & good places to visit a short drive away. The shower & toilets are spotless & the information hut is amazing with a freezer stocked with Louise’s cooking which you can buy extremely cheaply! We took some home for our meal when we got back & it did not disappoint!! You can order meals to be delivered to your van which is the highlight of our break! There are homemade jams & preserves available to buy which are equally delicious. There is also a fabulous dog washing facility all under cover which is the best I’ve seen! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Poole farm, this was our second visit & we will definitely be visiting again!

A Wonderful Break

Stayed at Poole farm for 5 nights in August and it really is a lovely location with the nicest owners you could meet. Nothing is too much trouble with Lou and Greg always on hand to make sure all is well. The facilities are excellent and spotless. The pitches large and well arranged. We’ll definitely be returning.

Our favourite CL

We have been staying at Poole farm over the last four years and love it so much that we visit at least twice a year. Lou and Greg are the perfect hosts. We love it because of its quiet situation on the border of Cornwall and north Devon with its proximity to many seaside towns and National Trust properties. On arrival you are greeted with a welcoming cup of tea. The shower room and the new addition of the wishy washy room, incorporating a washer, dryer and wash up area are spotless . An added bonus for us is Lou now offers home cooked meals to your caravan . This year we have booked to stay over Christmas (our third visit this year) and can’t wait to sample Lou’s three course meal. Plan a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

Great time at Poole Farm

We arrived at Poole Farm in a rainstorm; but this did not dampen the welcome we received from Lou and Greg. We were shown to the pitch and where all of the amenities were located; and as we started to set up a cup of tea and biscuits (home-made) arrived. What a welcome sight. You get a pack of information which includes details of a free afternoon cream tea, curtesy of the hosts, as well as details of other meals available every day at very reasonable prices. The pitches are fully serviced and the amenities include a shower room and separate toilet, a washing up room which includes washing and drying machines. The room also includes fridges where other essential supplies can be purchased (milk, pies etc) all on the basis of an advertised price and an "honesty box". Well done to Lou, Greg and Harvey for such a great place. We will be back.
