Relaxing CL

This is a very quite & relaxing cl. The owners were very welcoming & helpful, with lots of local advice. The toilets & shower were very clean & tidy & beautifully decorated. The hardstanding's were well laid out & there was plenty of room for an awning. We would certainly visit again.

Top value CL

We arrived at this CL after a long journey having been redirected due to traffic. We pitched up on a hard standing pitch and immediately felt relaxed. The owners texted to give instructions on where to pitch. During the afternoon Graham came to welcome us. This is an excellent CL with great, spotless facilities and excellent value for money. It is close to beautiful towns such as Knaresborough with wonderful views of the bridge from the Castle, and Wetherby and a bus ride away from Harrogate. Pateley Bridge is well worth a visit too. We had a lovely week here and are hoping to return for longer next year. Thank you very much Vicki and Graham.

Not for us

Site easy to find and a good welcome on arrival although e-mail communication not very clear ,we ended up behind a hedge opposite a barn in an area for three vans which isn't part of CL quite disappointed so not a lot of praise really. have stayed at much nicer sites more worthy of coming second in CL comp of year, disappointed and don't think my wife and I would be returning any time in the near future.

What a wonderful CL

Spent a great week here. The pitches are all level... whether on grass or hardstanding and are all very spacious. Have all facilities onsite. Hot water in showers/toilets always readily available.... just switch it on !! Pub in nearby village ... just a short walk away serving excellent meals. Port Arthur Farm is the "Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales" and the owners Vicky & Graham are lovely people. Best CL we have stayed on !

Wish all CLs were this welcoming.

We had a great stay here at the end of June, Vicky made us feel really welcome from the start, we saw her every day and she was always keen to make sure that we had all we needed. Lovely level hard standing, bonus was toilet and separate shower all included in the price. Great choice of pitch, large grass area for ball games and a pitch and putt area, balls and club included. Having read the previous review all I can say is that Vicky and Graham must have been away on holiday. I would have mentioned the lack of soap and hot water and I’m sure it would have been rectified. Move this and that ..... like what? We will return.

Disappointing

Having read great reviews about this site we were really looking forward to staying here, unfortunately we found the reality somewhat different. The site is beautiful, very peaceful but the welcome was not what we expected. The setup is somewhat confusing and got a bit like musical chairs. We paid to stay here but there appeared to be so many “don’t do” “move this” and this was not a pleasant stay. The chemical toilet disposal up some steps was bizarre. The toilet had no hot water to wash your hands, the hand wash was empty for 3 days at least. This is not a site we will return to, beautiful but not made to feel welcom

Sunset on Port Arthur Farm is a site to behold when the weather permits.

Once again had a lovely stay here, 5 nights and perfect weather. Warm welcome from the lovely Vicky and Graham. Tranquil site in a lovely area. Bus stops down the lane ready to take you on your sightseeing trips. Facilities are everything that's needed. Clean toilets and wonderful shower and enough space around your caravan/ motor home so as not encroaching on your neighbour. Will be a regular visitor in the future. 😃😃👍👍👍👍🌞🌞🌞

Fantastic.

Once again just had another great stay Vicky & Graham are the best hosts you could wish for . The facilities are spotless, as for the powershower (works a lot better when you switch it on lol). Very easy access to toilets and shower. Will absolutely get our vote for best cl of the year award, and is 100% deserved. We will most definately be back. Ray Joyce Misty & Amber.
