great site

what a great site.wonderful welcome.Spent 2 nights here and the owners could not have been more helpful and friendly. Facilities very clean .After chatting to Graham he returned later with 6 postcaps for my husband who had mentioned he needed some to finish a job at home. What more could you want from a happy and friendly site? Ignore previous peeved reviews there's a story there.

disappointing site

Book a grass pitch only to be told on arrival grass too wet. Had to use hard standing disappointment. Also difficult with toilet cartridge disposal up 5 steps. Also shower is included but not very good used caravan one only problem aqua roll takes ages to fill . Disappointing site after reading reviews.

May Bank Holiday weekend

On Friday 24th May 2018, my partner and I arrived early afternoon at this beautiful tranquil CL site. Vicki, the owner met us on arrival with a warm smile and friendly chat. Vicki and Graham are there if you need help or advice but don't bother you otherwise. The facilities on this site are superb. Large hard standing pitches and grass pitches too, all with electric hook up, close to a very nice shower/toilet. If you are looking for peace and quiet, then this site is one to book. It's adults only (which is what we prefer). Easy access down a short farm track into a large very flat field. Plenty of wild birds to see as well as the two resident geese and a duck (which follows the geese everywhere. I think he thinks he's a goose too)! The site is close to Knaresborough and just a short trip in the car to Harrogate and the surrounding area. I would HIGHLY recommend this beautiful site to anyone who is thinking of visiting the area and we will certainly be back in the future. Phil

Great Site

We have been spoilt staying with Graham and Vicky Bonney as we will compare every site with theirs. It deserves a st prize vote. Shower facilities excellent. Peaceful, ducks, geese, chickens ,cats and a their dog all wandering about. lovely walks and bus trip to a lot of site sighting areas. Will be back.

Pleasant site

This is a pleasant site in a rural setting. There are hard standing and grass pitches all with electric hook up. The new shower room and toilets are clean and well designed. A deposit is required when you book and the balance of payment is via an honesty box in the shower block. We met our host by chance when we arrived and saw no more of either of them for the remaining 3 days. However, that would not stop us from returning and it is certainly one of the better CLs.

E mail communication very abrupt and not welcoming

When booking this site many weeks ago the owners emails were abrupt and unwelcoming in as much as they don't even use your name. At the end of the email they don't even take time to type any signing off terminologies The site says payment in full on arrival yet deposit was required. Although I appreciate bookings do get made well in advance and changing may be difficult, my request to change booking dates was met with once again returned with abrupt and discourteous reply

Ideal for spotting wildlife

We have just returned from a three night stay here and I have to say it's a fantastic site with loads of room and ideal for those who want to get away from it all. We were visited by a chicken and a lovely black and white cat we called buttons but there are two further horses in the adjoining field and a lovely white horse called Patrick who is very placid and isn't bothered about anything as long as you give him a pat as you walk by . The toilet and washing facilities are first class and plenty of space to fill/empty water carriers etc. We look forward to returning in the future, thank you Vicky and graham for your warm welcome.
