Not THAT good…

Not sure why this site gets such rave reviews to be honest. We’ve had to stay here twice whilst having work done nearby on our van. The drive up from the main road is horrendous, pot holes and muddy, proper boneshaker. Yes the views are fab and it’s lovely and peaceful despite its proximity to the road, but the toilet is disgusting, no loo roll provided, no hand washing facilities, it’s not even cleaned. The pitches are all very uneven, at least spend some of the money you get levelling the pitches out. Yes the owner is friendly but it’s definitely a case of “money for nothing” in my opinion.

Lovely views, a great stop over

This site is just outside Hereford and has fabulous views. For the price, it was a great site for my 1 night stopover. As noted on a previous review, the access road is a little rough and ready, but everything stayed in the cupboards 😊 I picked the flattest of the available pitches, but could really have done with levellers if I’d been planning on staying more than one night. The main road is noticeable but not intrusive (I suspect unless you are a light sleeper!). I Would stay here again, as someone previously mentioned, be prepared for the access road.

Access

This site has fantastic views from the pitches and very good field for dog walks. The owner was very relaxed and welcoming. The access to the site is off the main road and is a rough track up the hill to the site. I would say you need to be prepared for this as it is unusual these days. Once on the pitch it is very nice view and well spaced out The main road is down the hill but is noticeable at night. I would return to the site but be ready for the bumpy ride up. Metered electrics but we did not exceed the daily limit. Good value.

Lovely site, easy access

We have just returned from a 5 day stay at this site. All pitches are hard standing and have a good electric supply. They are well spaced out. Handy WC, basic but clean. Views from site were lovely. Good walks from site. Owners were very friendly and welcoming. We paid £17 per night.

9 night stay

A lovely site set on a field away from the road. You can hear a bit of road noise but nothing too distracting. There are plenty of buzzards and other birds frequently around the site. The views are amazing. I was very surprised we were the only ones there for a few nights. The entrance to the site is wide enough (a bit tight in places) but don’t let it put you off for a twin axle 8ft wide van. There are plenty of levelling blocks on site as it is sloping. The toilet is clean. A good spot for exploring the area and there is plenty to see and do.

Excellent CL

Stunning location. Good gravel access and well-spaced pitches all with power so good site all year. We were appreciative of the blocks to help with levelling. We found it an excellent base for some cycling on quiet lanes, and peaceful walks to the woods nearby.

Stunning views, great little site

Stayed here for two nights earlier this year. Owner very friendly and helpful, especially when we were having difficulties with our motor mover trying to site our van. Pitches are quite sloping, but plenty of blocks supplied. The views across the hills are stunning, could sit and look at them all day. Sadly there is quite a bit of traffic noise, but it didn't spoil our stay. Toilet kept clean and tidy. The track up to the site is quite lumpy, but fine if you take it slowly. In a fantastic location to explore Hereford and the surrounding areas. Would definitely stay again.

The views are mesmerising...

Stayed here several times in our caravan, favourite CL, a hidden gem. Never tire of the view. The entrance track is a bit bumpy but it's a CL, I've known much worse, just take it steady. The track and gravel pitches should be good for all year round visits. The owner has thoughtfully provided leveling blocks and there's a decent loo. Plenty of Buzzards and owls at night. Can't wait to come back. Thank you.

Amazing views

Lovely little site. Set above and back from the A4103 so very little traffic noise. Hard standing pitches that are sloped but a chock sorts that out. Big field to the back that leads out in to a woodland walk. There’s also a BBQ firepit for guests to use.

Pleasant CL site with fantastic views !

Not easy to spot off the busy main road Small C&C sign, but could do with a sign saying " PURLBROOK FARM" Very rough and steep run up to the site area More suitable for Motor Homes , than caravans Pitches unven, but concrete blocks provides That said, it's a very pleasant site. Good views over the surrounding countryside.
