Lovely peaceful site

We stayed at the site for one night after leaving another site that was so disappointing. So pleased that we moved, and chose this place. Finished stay with a lovely cooked breakfast in the cafe/bar. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone!!

Not only for fishing!

Just had a very restful stay here. Perfect for us. Decent hardstandings, great views front and rear of surrounding countryside and the lake. Good walking on footpaths direct from the site. Great breakfast in the on-site cafe. Staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. Looking forward to another stay in warmer weather when we can sit outside and watch the fantastic sunsets.

1st Class cl

Stayed at this cl twice now and not disappointed. Becky and the team are just great. The cl is down a track but plenty of passing places. Each pitch has plenty of room, fishing peg in front of pitch for a small daily fishing fee. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet and rural. The on site cafe does excellent breakfast, bacon and sausages are gorgeous so much so that I visited the local farm shop, which is well worth a visit and has its own small wildlife park. I actually saw a black squirrel which do exist! Mr P assures me the tackle shop is well stocked and he caught a 201b carp, great fishing. Once the day fishers have left its even quieter. To sit and listen to owls is just heaven. This place is worth a visit. Thanks to Becky and the rest of the team

Excellent CL - everything you need and want

Spent our first night here - excellent all the way through. Warm welcome from Becky and the team, with a good briefing about the CL, facilities and the surroundings and a welcome folder that includes a local OS map for walks - a really nice touch. The CL pitches are gated, spacious, quiet with EHU, water and wifi - the wifi is top notch. The onsite cafe is a real bonus for breakfast and lunch. Lakeside Lodge which is 25mins walk away has good evening meals. The booking process is seamless with emails full of good information. A real CL find!

Top Quality CL !

Just spent 2 nights at this cracking CL. Easy to find and a very friendly welcome. 5 level pitches all with heaps of space. So quiet and peaceful! Each pitch has its own private swim which is great for anglers plus the tackle shop on site is top class. Great walks direct from the pitches skirting crop fields and open countryside. The welcome back has an OS map in it which we thought was a great touch. We will 100% be back and plan some longer walks. The pitches are effectively serviced so if you are happy with the facilities in your van then you are on to a winner. We will back again soon!

What a find!

This relatively new 5CL is a real gem. If you are looking for peace and tranquility within a wildlife oasis amongst the fenland agriculture then this is the one for you. Clair and her team gave us the warmest of welcomes and nothing is too much trouble. The five pitches border a beautiful fishing lake for day fishermen only and despite us being here over the bank holiday weekend when fishing matches were taking place on the other lakes we barely knew they were here. Our pitch overlooked the reedbed area with all its associated wildlife. Basic toilets are available as well as a lovely cafe and superb fishing tackle shop. We are not fishermen but thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful site. If you seek peace and tranquility with friendliness thrown in for good measure then you won't be disappointed here.

Beautiful, scenic, relaxing with nature. Great fishing too!

A wonderful secluded area with beautiful views and nature all around. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Our own fishing peg by the pitch, caught a lovely selection of fish including carp around 7lbs. We spent most of our time fishing but had intended to cycle on the many foot paths around the area. Fabulous breakfasts in the cafe if you're too lazy to cook. We will definitely return. Thank you James & Clair

Peaceful site with in the middle of the fens

We booked Rookery Waters as a stopping off place on the way to Suffolk but it was such a lovely peaceful site with plenty to see locally that we stayed for the week. James and Clare have made a lovely job of laying out the site around one of the fishing lakes. Each pitch is hard standing and includes electric hookup AND a water tap which for my Motorhome with a small tank is a godsend! The guided bus from St Ives gave us a lovely day out in the beautiful city of Cambridge. Duxford, Ely Cathedral and the National Trust at Anglesey Abbey and Wimpole Hall are all nearby. Wildlife on the ponds was also interesting to watch.
