A perfect place in Kent

What a perfect place to stay for a holiday in Kent. A beautiful and spacious site with relaxing views. Norman and Ruth were very welcoming, so helpful and friendly, a lovely couple. They gave us lots of info on where to go and what to do. The farm produce is yummy! Norman gave us an extremely interesting tour of the farm and animals which emphasised that they are obviously devoted to what they do and this also comes across in the enthusiasm they have when they talk about any aspects of the farm and CL. The cocker spaniels are a joy to watch as they enjoy their working and non-working lives. We will definitely go back and would recommend this lovely site to others without reservation.

Delightful

Very charming site, delightful hosts who really care for their surroundings and their animals. A warm welcome, very peaceful despite being rather busy whilst we were there. The toilets and shower despite being chemical (portaloo) were very clean and hygienic. All in all excellent.

We Will Return

What a lovely site, we couldn't have asked for more, we have two dogs one being a 15 week old puppy, Round Oak was ideal for us. Ruth and Norman made us very welcome. The site was superb very well maintained and peaceful, the only sounds that could be heard were the sound of farm yard animals. We are new to caravanning and CL sites, this was by far the best site we have stayed at, it is very well maintained all the facilities are within easy access. If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing site to take your dogs too. This is the one, we will certainly be going back

Superb

The wife, 2 dogs and I had never stayed at a CL before so thought we would give it a try. Upon arrival, (04/05/2013) we were welcomed by Ruth, and shown where everything was. Pitch, facilities etc. The camping area is a nice large, well kept grass field, adjacent to a field full of Highland Cattle and Hebridean Sheep. There is electric hook up but unfortunately my lead was too short to reach. Ruth was most helpful and provided us with an extension lead. The location is second to none if you want peace and quiet, with a wooded area for taking the dogs, not to mention mile upon mile of countryside the other side of the gate. We were blessed with the weather, and sitting out with the sound of bleets and moos was most relaxing, and it transported you away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. The site is a working farm, and much effort has been put in by the owners. Norman was more than happy to chat away about it's background, and it was really interesting. There are chemical toilets on site but well away from the camping area, which is preferred as it is only the wildlife one likes to hear! There is also a shower if required. All in all I cannot fault this location. The owners are great, extremely friendly but not intrusive and they are very helpful. The facilities are clean and well maintained, and as for the location...........Amazing. If you want to get away from it all, this is your place!

Peace and Quiet with Nature!

We have just returned from Roundoak where we had a lovely peaceful break. This lovely site is off the main road about half a mile and down a lane but do not let this put you off. This site is a gem and the owners made us most welcome and gave us a tour of their farm animals which you can tell they obviously love. A lot of thought has gone into the planning of this site with a lovely woodland area that we often walked through. Pitches are level and grassy with shower and toilets available for a small extra cost. They also sell lamb from their farm, sausages, eggs etc We shall be back!

Couples visit in June 2012

This site is for those who want peace and tranquility. The approach road is narrow for about half a mile, but is no trouble for seasoned caravaners. The reception from Mr or Mrs Coles is truly wonderful and they couldn't be more helpful. Each pitch is supplied with electric and there is plenty of room around the caravan. There is a cubicle shower and toilet and the shower provides plenty of hot water. The chemical disposal point and fresh water are alongside the shower. There is a wooded area where you can wander around in and where we saw an albino squirrel. There are also wood peckers and all sorts of wild life. The site is on a rare breeds farm and if you are interested the owners will show you around. You can just sit by the caravan or visit the many interesting places nearby. Whilst there my wife was taken ill with a burst appendix and was rushed to hospital where she stayed for several days. Mr Coles kindly moved my caravan to another part of the farm and told me I could leave it there as long as I liked until I returned to lincolnshire. They are both very kind people and I would thoroughly recommend this site.
