A Wonderful Norfolk CL

We visited this CL again this year during," During The 40`s week-end at Holt and Sheringham. It was a wonder peaceful week-end. The was plenty to see and do within the surrounding area.Andthe owners made us very welcome once again. This time Denise had some home grown vegitables for sale and we must congratulate her on the taste of the runner beans and tomatoes, they were excellent. If you want a quite and peaceful site, this is it. We are already looking forward to visiting again in 2024. Thank you Denise and Russell. From Jan & John

Lovely site for exploring on bikes

We booked in for 2 nights to meet my sister but stayed for another 2 nights as it was so handy. We have ebikes and cycled on all the lanes to Sheringham, lovely wee seaside town, Cromer and to Holt. Nice wee evening stroll to West Beckham and the Wheatsheaf. Denise was very helpful with cycling directions avoiding busy roads. We discovered a muberry bush on site, never seen one! Thanks for a lovely relaxing stay.

Once again we find ourselves visiting this wonderful CL. Only a short stay this time in order to co inside our visit with the " 40`s Weekend" at Sheringham. Again the weather was kind to us and all in all a very nice break. Looking forward to booking in next year. Jan & John, from Leicestershire.

Peaceful stay

Stayed for 5 nights at Russdenill Lodge CL, I chose it as it’s an adult only site, located away from busy roads and for its proximity to lots of geocaching. It’s a decent size grass enclosure surrounded by trees and is beautifully kept. The pitches are on a bit of a slope and are all down one side which felt a little close especially when there is more than enough room to have spread the pitches out. That said, it is lovely and quiet, the lack of light pollution made the night sky amazing to sit and gawp at in awe! It’s a very reasonable price per night, especially compared to some other CL’s which are more expensive but nowhere near as well kept, peaceful and pleasant. Great for cycling and walking. Are at the White Hart and The Wheatsheaf, delicious food, beer garden and both dog friendly. I will definitely return to this lovely site.

Simply the best!

Wow, what a fabulous site! Absolute peace and tranquility and the warm welcome extended by Keith and John was second to none. Standing in for Denise & Russell, they make an awesome team, friendly, helpful and with a wonderful sense of humour. The site is pristine, level and the facilities, recycling, Elsan disposal and grey waste disposal areas was spotless. Easy driving distance to Sheringham which was absolutely lovely, and to Cromer which was interesting. If we ever visit the area again, this is definitely our go to site. Thank you Keith & John and best wishes to Denise & Russell.

An Excellent CL

We have just returned home after spending our third visit to this CL site. We were welcomed by Denise and told to choose any pitch( at the time they were all vacant). The whole site was very clean & tidy, the grass in particular, was like a Bowling Green. The site throughout our whole time there was quite and peaceful. The location makes it ideal for visiting numerous location of interest around the whole area, Sheringham, Cromer, Holt and Fakenham are all within easy reach, plus much more. Visit this CL, were you can be guaranteed of a warm welcome by Denise and Russell.

Contact with the owner was pleasant and easy going. Good arrival and access information. Level site with easy access to facilities which include fresh water, grey waste disposal and chemical disposal point. EHU at 16amp. Site surrounded by trees and fields with easy dog walks from the site. Excellent information given by owner about the surrounding areas recognising our particular needs, happy to answer individual enquiries during our stay. Friendly area, friendly owners, pub nearby, lots to keep you busy for over a week in the local area. A great base for a wonderful week we had exploring the Norfolk coast and inland areas. Another two excellent stays in 2021

We completed our third stay this year in October, having been there first in April (see previous review) and then again in August. The second stay was with our campervan, the third we towed a caravan. The site is very quiet, away from main roads and passing traffic. So quiet that at night the owls and pheasants are easy to listen to. It is well placed to get up and down the coast in both directions and inland. We stayed over with the camper near Wroxham one night so we could meander back up the coast through Walcott and Mundesley. Denise and Russell are great hosts and keep the site beautifully. We are about to book up two more stays in 2022.

Gem of a site at a great cost.

Great small. CL. Down a few tight lanes - we havan 8 ft wide van but great swing on access. 5 pitches all with electricity included for 12 pds. Grey and toilet disposal all clean. Wheatsheaf Arms walkable but we found it expensive and so so quality wise. Great butchers in Sheringham along with Tesco and all other required facilities. Very quiet site. Just the noise of trees in the wind. Dogs welcome
