The most welcoming CL

This site is immaculate and set within peaceful and picturesque scenery. We received a very warm welcome and much appreciated the delicious cream tea which we had pre-ordered. Our key intention was to see Powys Castle and we were not disappointed. It would be almost an hour to walk to the castle but only 9 minutes if driving. We opted to drive! We enjoyed our complimentary and generous breakfast bap on the day of departure kept us going on the journey home. Dawn and Andy really do go out of their way to make their guests welcome. Despite the rain we really enjoyed our stay and appreciated their hospitality. A most enjoyable stay. Thank you. Carol and Mike J

Fabulous

We had a wonderful long weekend. Dawn and Andy were very welcoming, even after our rather 'unorthodox' arrival! The site is immaculate with large pitches and beautiful views of Leighton and the surrounding countryside. There are some lovely walks from the site, which our dog enjoyed, we would have liked to have had time to explored more fully. We thoroughly enjoyed the cream tea, and the breakfast bap before we departed was delicious. We were very lucky to have excellent weather, just wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you.

Perfection

A difficult one to review , because once everyone knows it will be difficult to get in to . We are a large motorhome , access is easy ,pitch size great and views amazing . We pre-booked a cream tea and that was delivered to us warm and with a great smile from Dawn . We were lucky to have the option for paying to join other people on site for a bbq , cooked and supplied by the owners .We all sat down with ours drinks , collected the food and had a great evening . Chatting about sites and places we have been . The Severn lodge deserves a massive shout out , they go above and beyond making your stay enjoyable . The little touches were great . Many thanks .

Wonderful Hosts

This is a gem of a site. Very peaceful and well kept. Dawn and Andy are fantastic hosts who go out of their way to make you welcome. The cream tea on arrival is fantastic and great value. Easy walk to Welshpool and Powys Castle is worth a visit. The icing on the cake was the offer of a free breakfast roll if you stay for 2 nights or more. Highly recommend a stay on this site. we will be back!! Ross and Ruth Williams

Superb, brilliant, loved every minute

Dawn and Andy are superb hosts, super friendly and genuine. The CL overlooks rolling countryside and an ancient avenue of oak trees. Its a 10 minutes walk into Welshpool with its many attractions. The site is spotless and well looked after. Would highly recommend the cream tea - 4 homemade scones with homemade jam, lashings of clotted cream all for £6 yummy. The BBQ evening was a great opportunity to meet other guests andcthe food was homemade and lovingly prepared. Bonus was the gratis breakfast bap on the morning of departure. Can't wait to go back .

Warm welcome to a lovely CL

We were welcomed warmly by Dawn and Andy, given all the information we needed and left to enjoy our break unless we needed them! Stunning views and spotless facilities. A nice farewell and help exiting site, cannot ask for more. Yummy breakfast bap on our last day went down a treat too! Would definitely recommend this site.

Welshpool wonder

Coming here never disappoints and we recently spent another 5 super days in the company of Dawn & Andy. Although late in the season, the grass was in very good condition and the fruits in the garden were in abundance. Welshpool always has plenty to offer and this time, on their recommendation, we discovered Glansevern gardens, which was only a short car ride away. It’s a shame that they are now closed, but we certainly will look forward to our next visit in the new year. Thank you, Dawn and Andy - enjoy your winter break and we’ll see you in the spring…👍

Superb

We have stayed on this CL several times now and cannot speak highly enough of it. The site is level, well set up and has far reaching views. What really excels, though, is the hospitality offered by the owners, Dawn and Andy. From their initial warm welcome through to the provision of cream teas, barbecues, etc. it is the best we have encountered anywhere and this sets a warm, comfortable, friendly ambiance to the site. Dawn and Andy take the CL to the top level and deserve all the repeat bookings they receive.
