Superb

We have stayed on this CL several times now and cannot speak highly enough of it. The site is level, well set up and has far reaching views. What really excels, though, is the hospitality offered by the owners, Dawn and Andy. From their initial warm welcome through to the provision of cream teas, barbecues, etc. it is the best we have encountered anywhere and this sets a warm, comfortable, friendly ambiance to the site. Dawn and Andy take the CL to the top level and deserve all the repeat bookings they receive.

Absolutely Fabulous

We stopped here over a weekend to break the journey on our way home from Wales in August. Not the largest CL we have been to, but everything is absolutely immaculate. Very peaceful. Nice walk for the dogs in the fields behind. And Dawn and Andy are just taking CL-ing to a whole new level! They are very friendly and really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They messaged us the day before asking if we wanted to join in a Steak night they were organising at £20 per person. We took them up on this (as did most of the other vans) and the most delicious and perfectly cooked steaks with all the trimmings were duly delivered to our door, bang on time, with an invitation (only if we wanted to) to come and join them and some of the others for after dinner drinks. So we all took our deckchairs and our drinks into the middle and sat and relaxed and chatted to our fellow travellers and it was really really lovely. Then on the morning we left a free breakfast bap was delivered, again piping hot and tasty. We were there such a short time we cannot comment on the surrounding area. But we can definitely recommend the CL itself and we will definitely go back again.....if they have availability of course. After all the rave reviews they have been getting book early or they might be full up!

Very welcoming host's

We called in at this very well maintained site for one night luckily without booking and was not disappointed in any way. Both Dawn and Andy were the perfect host's who really knew how to host the perfect CL site and they are a credit to the CL network. As a new CL owner ourselves Andy went above and beyond to be helpful in every way giving us many tips and advice for our own CL site. Andy and Dawn your site is a credit to you and thank you for the welcome and help.

Birthday treat

We stayed here for seven nights in late August, what a beautiful setting. The place is kept to an extremely high standard. Andy and Dawn obviously have worked very hard to achieve this. We can recommend the steak dinner offered on the Saturday night of our stay. Complimentary cream tea on my birthday was very much appreciated. Dawn and Andy are most helpful with out being intrusive. One of the bestCL sites out there.

A gem of a site

We have just returned home having spent seven glorious days on this beautiful site. Andy and Dawn were the ideal hosts, with nothing being too much trouble. The cream tea is a must, the most perfect that we have ever tasted. The plums, apples and pears which are left for visitors to enjoy is a very kind and thoughtful touch. The breakfast bap prior to our departure was delicious and appreciated. All in all the best site that we have stayed at in many years of caravanning.

Brilliant site

This was our first stay on a CL and it didn’t disappoint. Dawn and Andy run a quiet, clean and beautiful site. The sausage and bacon butties on the morning we left were a lovely addition to a brilliant stay. Would highly recommended this site for all the above reasons but especially how well you are looked after by your hosts.

what a great site to stay on

We spent six days on this great CL, Dawn and Andy were the perfect hosts, very friendly and helpful. probably the cleanest and best organised recycling area we have seen. Cream teas were great, barbeque night was a pleasure to attend, and we met some lovely people, we will use this great site again. Sue and Geoff.

Locely place to stay

Stopped here for 5 nights in July 22.. The site is well positioned just out of the town of Welshpool..the pitches were nicely separated and were pretty level. The owners were very welcoming and warm. We arrived on a Monday that was 30+ degrees and i'd forgotten a cool beer.. low and behold a few can of Carling arrived...they didnt have to to that but they did. Essentially we were left alone to enjoy ourselves - which is how we like it..on the day we left a egg/bacon & sausage roll at 9.30 :-) We went on the railway one day (well recommended) a waterfall another and lake Vyrnwy... all well worth a visit. All in all brilliant.

Amazing

This site is the first CL we have ever visited for more than one night… I can’t begin to express what a joyful experience it has been. Fellow foodies and owners Dawn and Andy have been like old friends making the whole stay unforgettable. The steak night tonight was unbelievable and quite unique. Thank you both so much… I will certainly return in the future hoping to sample the BBQ night too. Just amazing!

Top CL site - 5 star

In over thirty years of visiting CL sites, this must rate as one of the very best. From the welcome on arrival on 14 June to our departure six days' later, it was fantastic. Dawn and Andy just couldn't do enough to make our stay a really good experience. Luscious cream teas, a brilliant steak night, beautifully cooked by our hosts and delivered to our van. Help putting up our awning - nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Dawn and Andy, we hope to see you again soon. Daphne and Artie, North Yorkshire
