Hidden gem, ideal for the beach

Great site, easy booking and very friendly owners. Hidden away down a quite close, so no passing traffic. Site is well maintained, recycling is followed, with different bins. Waste disposals are hidden away from the pitches, so no-one needs to watch as you clean out your containers. Variety of pitches, from grass to concrete. View is not the best, but the surrounding trees are full of birds, so that adds a tuneful backdrop. The big plus is its location, 50 metres to a huge dog-friendly beach and a lovely walking/cycling prom. Easy walk to the tranquil Sutton-on-Sea (about 20 mins), bit further to the hustle of Mablethorpe. Will definately return.

Ideal Spot

Ideal spot for beach holiday hourly bus service to Skegness or Mablethorpe. Not very welcoming owners whatsoever had to find out about toilet emptying facilities from other Caravaners thought the price was expensive for what was on site no toilet or shower facilities £26.00 have paid less on a cl which has toilet shower and wash up area. Obviously charging more because of location will not be visiting again.

Scared to share this diamond of a site

Perfect location for lazy walks along the prom. You can find little bars , clubhouses and chippies etc. In walking distance. A lovely little gem of a site ...

Happy campers

We recently stayed at Breakwater, 3 caravans & the lovely cottage. Beautiful quiet site in a perfect location, a 2 minute walk through the site brings you on to the promenade & gorgeous beach. Mablethorpe is to your left, Sutton on Sea is to your right, both about an easy miles walk along the prom. Very dog friendly site & beach. A little gem, we will be back it gets 5 stars ⭐️ from us.

Super Spot

We stayed here on a very cold frosty weekend in January. We had booked it via email which was all very efficient. Access onto site was nice and easy. It was a bit cosy manoeuvring onto what we thought was last pitch in our 7.45 m mohome and avoiding the grass. Afterwards we realised there was another tarmac pitch which would have been more suitable to us but you access that from first left turn from entrance. It was a bleak weekend but you can see in spring/summer there will be lots of delightful plants/hedges which we guess will hide the static caravan site next door. Access to the most incredible beach is brilliant. Endorse previous reviews re access to Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea, so easy. It seems we stayed at a time when the owners were introducing a new pricing system due to these challenging electricity costs. They had informed us on booking so we were aware you had your site fee which included 10 units of electric a night which clear and transparent, then extra electric was charged per unit. It just got a bit confusing of how we found out how much electric we were using and what that extra was charged at. We did catch the owner on 2 nd day and it seems it was first weekend of them implementing this system- hopefully they will get things sorted and it will be a bit clearer for future campers. A lovely CL at excellent location.

Best kept secret

This site is an absolute gem. Stones throw from the beach and promenade. walks along the beach go for miles in both directions. Beautiful clean beach and promenade. The site is peaceful and tranquil. Lovely spacious pitches. Tim and Dee are lovely helpful friendly people. Nothing is too much trouble. Can’t recommend this site enough. They welcome dogs with open arms. Can’t wait to come back.

Pitch Perfect

Communication before we arrived was very clear with quick responses. The access to the site was very easy. There is a sign on the gate saying to choose a pitch and set up, although we missed it. The owners were very welcoming and gave lots of local info. The site is small but there is plenty of room for 5 vans and you can pitch however you like. A gate from the site leads to steps which lead straight to a fantastic promenade. The site is between Mablethorpe and Sutton On Sea and there are lots of cafes, bars and shops a short walk away. There are miles and miles of sandy beach and nearly 5 miles of promenade. Chapel St Leonards, Ingoldmells and Skegness are all within easy reach. Amazing sunsets can be seen from the site and the prom. A perfect location for us.

Location Location Location

The Three words that describe this wonderful site, very quite, clean and tranquil. With the beach a stones throw away its a dog owners heaven, you may get lucky and spot the seals sunning on the sands. With miles of sandy beach to walk along and many small villages to visit you will not be bored. There are plenty of places to eat and drink within a small walk from the site, Once the toilet block is up and running I can not see this site being beaten for value.Would highly recommend this site to all friends and family

Top site

We have just returned from a stay at Breakwater, it's a lovely little site next to the beach great for dogs, situated between Mablethorpe a 25 min walk along the prom and Sutton 20 min in the otherdirection, Mablethoroe has plenty of pubs and is more lively that Sutton, there is a little shop on the site next door with a pub and they do meals. The owners See and Tim are very welcome g See keeps the site clean and tidy and the grass is always short they are constantly on have it you need to ask, sadly the one down side is the elsan point it lacks a flush there is a hose but not strong enough other guests also mentioned it was poor maybe it will be better in our next visit. We paid £20 a night unsure of the £13 advertised perhaps that's for winter, anyway a great little site we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return next year.

Ideal site with cottage also available

Just spent four nights at Breakwater. Lovely well kept site with grassed pitches. Also got the flexibility of a cottage on site if you want to holiday with folk who don't have a tourer. So well placed for the beach and surrounding area. Sutton on Sea quieter than Mablethorpe, which was quieter than Skeg Vegas (Skegness). Something for everyone.
