Great location

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at Sky View. As soon as you arrive you understand the name of the site. The views are wonderful. Rob is an excellent host, when we ran into problems with the caravan he pulled out all the stops to help us. He takes great care with the surroundings and checks up on his visitors regularly. The approach roads from the A523 can be a bit hairy if you meet an oncoming vehicle but once you reach the top of the hill you realise the trip is well worth it!

Magic place

We had the most fantastic weekend at sky view cl. The location is stunning, incredibly well maintained large fully serviced pitches, pristine grass and views stunning. Rob and Claire very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. Great site, highly recommended and will be back!

stunning views

We picked this site to be the opposite side of the peak district which we normally use. what can I say ,Rob the site owner is absolutely a lovely and accommodating chap, there to help or give advice or tell you local information. you can see the amount of passion and hard work he has put into the site as it one of the best pitches we have been on, large fully serviced and level hard standing pitches and great views. as you are on top of a hill. you are acceptable to the weather but that is something that he cant control. many walks near by. plenty to do in the area. no designated dog walk but we used the entrance to the site to allow the dogs to have a last minute pee before bed. great site which I would use again if I was in this area. first class site with a lovely owner where nothing was too much trouble.

Great place

Just returned from a weekend at Sky View. Great site with fabulous views, which even the rain couldn't spoil. Easy to walk in to nearby Bidulph Moor where there are a few shops and pubs. Biddulph Grange country park is well worth a visit. Rob the owner is fab and really helpful. We will return.

Beautiful site

Just spent a lovely weekend here. The hard standings are level and very large. The landscaping is impeccable. The views are stunning. The owners could not be more friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for them. There are plans to make a toilet and shower block and to change the entrance to make it easier to get in. We've already booked another weekend and will probably book the next whilst there to make sure we can get on. Fantastic site

It doesn't get any better than this!

Stayed for four nights (wish it had been four weeks!) just as Rob was completing the upgrade with hard standing, lawns and planting. He is a very hard-working and genuine host who really cares and is now providing a top quality CL which is one of the best we have ever stayed on. Other reviewers have waxed lyrical about the standards and I agree wholeheartedly with them all! All this with the most amazing views from sun rise to sunset and you see both. We absolutely loved it and hope to be back soon.

A cracker of a site

Came here for the early May bank holiday weekend and will certainly be back. I had expected a grass site but the owners had very recently made it hardstanding which was a lovely surprise and beautifully done. Each large pitch still has a grass area to the side for awnings. And the views..wow. We only live about 10 miles away but we'd never been up to Biddulph Moor before. You look out over towards Rudyard Lake, Leek and The Roaches and have a lovely view of Mow Cop from the back. We walked to Biddulph Country Park is in walking distance - it took us about 25 mins. Pubs within walking distance too. You might think £15/night is a bit steep for a site without toilet/shower - but the views make it worthwhile. The owners were away during our stay but they had a friend looking after the site who was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It's great to have such a lovely site on our doorstep and am already looking forward to booking again.

What a gem of a site!

Just arrived back after a five night stay, the first trip since relaxation of the lockdown restrictions,so it needed to be a special one. We were not disappointed. Before we arrived Rob made a courtesy call to let us know that work had been undertaken on the site to make it hardstanding this was a real nice touch and this was continued throughout our stay with Rob and Claires interest in our daily activities. We were one of the first outfits to arrive and Rob was keen to see how his hardwork had paid off as we are a twin wheeled outfit and quite long. No issues in sitting the van and what views! We were blessed with great weather and can see why the site is called Sky View with stunning sunsets and sunrises. Rob was keenb throughout our stay to seek our views about the site and the plans he has for the future and he has clearly listened to a lot of caravnners as you could not wish for more from a CL. The real bonus is each of the pitches has full service facilities. This is a really central position for some great walks and bike rides, you can really leave your car on site and do all your activities from the door step. The only thing we were unable to do was sample the Local beer or food due to the current situation but that will change soon and I am sure will be great. Rob has a wealth of knowledge about the area and is keen for you to ask questions, his whole ethos is for you to have a great time and want to come back. Which we will certainly be doing. Thanks Rob and Claire for making this first trip a special one. Paul and Mandy

The Height of Staffordshire Moorlands hospitality.

Great prompt phone communication by Rob and Claire, so important to us having travelled over 200 miles. Level pitches and new 2kw power points with water and grey water drainage. Their enthusiasm and extensive local knowledge of walking, Pubs, fish n chip shops and fancy farm live stock is priceless. We had a week of mist, rain, sunshine and jaw dropping rural views among lush pastures. Skyview is a new site this year and i anticipate its popularity will definitely be skyward with these guys.
