What a fabulous site this is, quiet, peaceful, well maintained, level H/S pitches, EHU & water on the pitch and wonderful friendly owners Roz & Nick who are available to help out whenever needed.
This is an ideal place to stay if you want to explore the area. There is Parsons Cider Production just a 2 minute walk from the site where you can pick up some very good and reasonably priced cider and the bus into Taunton Town Centre stops directly outside the site.
We jumped the short journey on the bus into the Centre and visited the Museum of Somerset which is a 1 min walk from the bus stop and we highly recommend. Lots of things to see, it's free but donations gratefully accepted. The Cafe is also excellent and very reasonably priced.
There is also a large Sainsbury's in the centre with a big car park.
We will hopefully get to stay at Southfield again but will stay a few more days next time.
