Immaculate and highly recommended lovely site run by a great, helpful and friendly couple

If you are looking for a CL site in the Midlands, we can highly recommend Spring Paddock CL site near Stafford. Just off the A34 between Stafford and Cannock, so good access to the major supermarkets etc within a short drive and also very close to the wonderful Cannock Chase, a large area of natural woodland and open heathland with miles of walking and cycle routes. We were very impressed with this beautifullly well maintained site, it was absolutely immaculate, with hardstanding, gravelled pitches and plenty of lovely space, the grounds include a very large enclosed exercise field for dogs, even provided with a covered dog toy cupboard of balls etc. There is a separate enclosed nature area with duck pond, fire pit, seating and picnic table. The toilet/shower facilities were kept spotless and a lovely touch in the loo of scented reed diffuser and artwork of cheeky seaside postcard that is regularly changed for a little bit of humour! The waste and water provision is also excellent with the benefit of a nice long hose for filling. There is a substantial, gravelled parking area for those with caravans to leave their cars or for visitors to park. Deborah and Martin were great hosts, so helpful, friendly and welcoming they made our stay so less stressful after arriving with an electrical issue with our motorhome, Martin contacted a local auto electrician where we took it for a repair. They have free range hens so there are fresh eggs available and in the office there was a selection of food provisions including a wonderful selection of jams and chutneys and local information available. Martin and Deborah only started this site in 2019 and have worked hard to create an immaculate and really welcoming site. We were in the area having travelled down from Scotland to visit relatives, had a fabulous stay and will definitely be back there again next year.

Beautiful little CL Site run by a wonderful couple.

We stayed here 4 nights, from 31st August to 4th September...Greeted by Debbie at the reception, given an info package, and shown to our pitch. We were overlooking the wildlife area with the duck pond, lovely view. Toilet block is superb, it’s like your own private shower, beautiful decorated and so clean. The site has a large dog exercise area which is enclosed so no need to worry of your dog getting lose and supplied with dog toys and poo bags. A 2 minute walk from the site takes you onto Cannock chase, great for walking the dogs or just a lovely walk through a beautiful forest area. There is a pub 20 minute walk along main road, no pavement but grass verge is fairly wide. This is an absolutely lovely site, Martin and Debbie can not do enough for you, they go out of their way to make you feel welcome, your stay as enjoyable as possible and actually treat you like a friend. I would recommend this site 100%. Our first time but definitely not our last.

Highly Recommended

What a fabulous site this is, everything is top quality and well thought out. The site is accessed through a rising security arm (you are given a fob on arrival) and warmly welcomed by the owners in the office, which also serves as a shop with a few essentials available. All pitches are on hard standing with a car park adjacent for vehicles, the site therefore keeps its looks and doesn't get cut up during wetter periods. There is a dedicated field, complete with a box full of toys, for dogs and a charming wildlife area complete with picnic tables and newly installed fire pit. The toilet/shower block is perhaps the best I've seen on a CL, modern, high quality fittings and kept spotlessly clean. The A34 is in close proximity so there is some traffic noise, the benefit though is the site is very easy to access and avoids any narrow country lanes. Owners have provided excellent hand cleaning and distancing measures during the current pandemic too. Its a nice part of the world too, with lots to explore and do.

Lovely friendly CL

Just back from a lovely 3 night stay here, and it has to be one of the nicest CLs we've stayed on. Debbie and Martin are lovely, friendly and helpful. The site is well thought-out, particularly for motorhomers with the courtesy car (never come across that before! Sadly currently not in use due to covid, but a brilliant idea), and the dedicated water filling hose. The facilities were spotless and it was so nice to have a spacious and hot power shower in the block rather than squeezing into our tiny moho one. The pitches are level and well-drained and the waste area very well thought-out. The site reception shop sells delicious ice cream and chutneys as well as a few essentials, and they even lend you a bike stand if you bring your bikes - very thoughtful! There was a little noise from the A34 but it quietened down at night and didn't bother us too much. Cannock Chase is definitely worth a visit, and the canal is also nice to walk or cycle along. We will definitely return next year when we have a spare weekend!

Best CL with Facilities we have stayed on

Spring Paddock is a lovely CL with fantastic facilities. We love quite orchard type farm sites but for a more refined site this was about as good as it gets. All the facilities, smart toilets and showers, shop with the basics and local produce, freindly and helpfull owners. They even have a hire car for motorhome owners (not currently available due to covid precautions).

Excellent site

We stayed at Spring Paddock for 4 nights recently and it's without doubt the best CL we have used. Deborah and Martin are superb hosts. We received a warm and informative welcome from Deborah. The facilities are excellent with the cleanest and smartest bathrooms we have encountered on a CL. Everything is well organized and has been well thought out. There is a little road noise from the nearby main road but it's not too bad and gets quieter in the evening. Great site to access Cannock Chase for hiking and biking. We loved our stay and we will most certainly be back. Word of caution regarding Sat nav. Use the A 34 to reach the site. Our nav took us through Acton Trussell and the roads are very narrow.

Cycling in Cannock

Wow, what a fabulous CL. Don't judge it by Google Earth, as Martin & Deborah have revamped this site. It was like arriving at a mini Club Site, with a welcoming reception area. A security fob barrier gives easy access to the site with well laid out service area to the right and car parking to the left giving maximum green space for your awning. Ample room too for any guests that may visit. Amazing brand new ladies and gents shower block facility. All very clean. Dog walk area too. What also was very nice is the friendly interaction by Martin and Deborah giving that personal touch. Yes, there is a bit of noise from the A34, but on a positive, your straight out on the main routes for exploring the area. My stay was for cycling the Greenway and Silkin way old railway lines to The Ironbridge and the canals and Cannock Chase (Follow the Dog and Monkey Trail). So with that type of cycling in mind, it was indeed a pleasant site to return too and I would guess, a lot less midgies that camping in the Cannock Chase itself!. Well Done guys, I hope to book and see you again soon! Dave

Spring Paddock

Just returned from a four night stay at Spring Paddock. Wonderful welcome on arrival, site probably the best we have visited during over 40 years of membership to the club. All facilities 5*. The site lies just off the main A34 so some road noise is present but we did not find this to be a problem. Well worth a visit.

An excellent CL

The owner and his wife gave us a very friendly welcome on our recent arrival for a 3 night stay. The facilities are first class with separate shower and WCs for male and female. The site is very well situated for the regular bus service between Stafford and Cannock with the bus stop 50yds from the site entrance. A welcoming pub is located 3/4 mile from the site on the main bus route and the owner kindly offered to drive us home on the wet evening we departed the pub. The reception office has a small shop selling eggs milk and cooking ingredients. We will be back
