A very good site

Pretty rural site. Well spaced hook-ups on cared-for, spacious field that drains well.OK for our heavy single-axle van in wet weather. Extension leads available, but probably not needed. Mainly level grass pitches. Use HS as last resort. No road noise.Very peaceful. Long way to nearest supermarket. Great for cycling. Toilet and shower areas in need of sprucing up. Good for well-behaved dogs. Easy access from A14 at Stowmarket, including asphalt farm drive. A site to return to.

Great little break away

Visited Stanstead Hall early April 2013. Due to wet weather had to site van on hard standing which was no problem. Met & welcomed by Sue & Poppy dog! Very peaceful, clean site, coming from a city it's surprising how 'noisy' the ducks & geese can be!!! LocalPlacesOfInterest ok for visiting local villages & really not too far from Bury St Edmunds or the Suffolk coast. Facilities on site clean & basic & adequate. Thank you.

Fabulous place!

August 2011 Probably the best site so far. This site is huge so lots of privacy but in a beautiful setting. The facilities were spot on. There were ducks and geese wandering around as well as Poppy the dog. Poppy was very sociable but also went away when asked which was great. Lavenham, a medieval town, is about 6 miles away and worth a visit. It is far away from the madding crowd and amazingly dark at night.....so many stars! That said we booked this site with all this in mind. Would love to return here.

cl of excellence

We have visited this site twice, The hosts are very welcoming, Poppy the dog is a joy every ones friend. the field is large and gives privacy to each unit. toilet and shower clean and large. A bit far out but then it is such a big area to visit. In the surrounding lanes you can purchase from boxes outside cottages, strawberries and free range eggs at very good prices. One of my favorite sites x
