Excellent CL

This is our second visit and will certainly not be the last. Everything about the site is excellent, the owners are very welcoming the toilets are clean. The pitches are well laid with big gaps between the outfits with lovely views across open fields.

Peaceful and Relaxing

We came across this CL when looking for somewhere close to where we had our caravan serviced, and what a find although it had been raining before we arrived it drained very quickly, where we pitched it was nice and level each pitch has its own water supply and the toilets were immaculate and cleaned regularly. although I don't fish there is a lovely big fishing lake which we used to walk around in the evenings. also a dedicated dog walk among the trees. The site also has a security gate for extra piece of mind. We have no hesitation in recommending this site and will be back when in the area

Week of peace & quiet

Just had 6 nights  & enjoyed the peace & quiet of the site. Mature trees on 3 sides  & horses on the other. There are some well stocked fishing lakes just beyond the trees. The lakes were surrounded by trees as well so they were very sheltered & nice to walk round. We had 2 nights of torrential rain but only had 2 patches of standing water which drained quite quickly. The pitches were very big which meant we could put car & caravan just where we wanted. David &Tracey were very friendly & easy to chat to. Toilets were immaculate & there was the added bonus of water to each pitch - quite unusual for a cl. We'll definitely use this site if we're in the  area  again & would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet site. If you're coming from the north or east don't follow the Caravan Club directions - they take you along  the A11 & through the  village & down a single track road. Much better to use the Sat  & come off the A1066

Tranquillity

This was the third visit to this lovely CL. The weather was really poor with high winds and rain but it didn't spoil the enjoyment of the site. Hook up and water available on each pitch, toilets immaculate and grass kept short. Lots to do in the area including a visit to the Peter Beales Roses garden centre in nearby Attleborough. Bury St Edmunds not far away for a day trip. Plenty of Wildlife sites around etc.

Peace and Quiet

Stayed for four nights over a long weekend in February. Access is good except for last half mile which is single track road with a few passing places. Access to places of interest, Thetford, Banham, Bressingham is by car there are no buses, Access to the West Harling Heath and open access land is excellent for walking you do not have to drive so for us the site was perfect. Welcome from owners was very good, pub in village use George and Dragon the other was devoid of life and customers (would suit those who like to drink alone).  Site is level and well drained no need for leveling blocks.  On the whole an excellent site and if you are happy to walk and leave the car behind then the rating is a justified five stars.

Bank Holiday

We spent the bank holiday weekend at the lodge. Although the weather wasn't the best this site is. Lovely views over the horses in the fields one way and over the fishing lakes the other. Great for walking and cycling. The village of East Harling is an easy cycle or walk and has a couple of pubs, shop, butchers, takeaway. Toilets were very clean. The owners although not living at the site came and checked the lakes and site at least twice a day and were friendly and helpful. The site has cctv so security is good. An excellent cl we will certainly be returning as soon as possible.

Excellent CL Site

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Lodge CL, it is a great site. It is very quiet with great views of the grazing horses in the next field. There are some stunning walks from the site into the woodlands, with a secluded church hidden away, which is well worth a walk down the road to see. The owners were friendly and welcoming. The toilets were clean, the site was clean, the views were great, the surrounding area is lovely. Overall a fantastic few days away from it all. We will be returning! :-)
