Why stay here ...

Our CL site is situated in quiet, open countryside on land adjoining our coarse fishery (Middle Harling Fisheries) for which weekly and day tickets are available. Due to the close proximity of the lakes young children must be closely supervised. The lakes are pleasant to walk around with a woodland on site and surrounding fields are grazed by horses, sheep and cattle.

The site is in excess of one acre. All pitches are lawned with space for awnings and there is a water supply to each pitch.

East Harling village is approx one mile. It has a local shop with bakery open early until 9pm which also sells newspapers and has a small off licence. There are two public houses each serving food, a Chinese Restaurant/Takeaway and a fish, chips and kebab shop. The village also boasts a butchers, chemist, fire station, doctors and DIY store amongst others. There is a recreation ground, social club and play area nearby. All are within walking distance.

The site is on the edge of Thetford forest with many walks and cycle paths to enjoy.

Places to visit include The English Whisky Distillery and Swallow Aquatics at Roudham, Snetterton Racetrack, Banham Zoo, Bressingham Gardens and Steam Museum, High Lodge at Brandon and Red Lodge karting Centre. If you enjoy car boot sales, both Snetterton and Banham Zoo hold one on a Sunday morning.

Nearby market towns with large supermarkets and shopping include Diss, Thetford, Attleborough and Bury St Edmunds.

Lovely site

Enjoyed a very peaceful stay on this site recently and despite the seemingly constant rain the pitch drained very well. The owners are very welcoming and this is certainly a site that we will return to in the future. Having water on each pitch is a real bonus. Would thoroughly recommend.

Peaceful retreat

This is a peaceful CL in the Suffolk countryside, surrounded by Thetford forest, fishing lakes, farmland with horses and sheep nearby and pig farms further up the lane. The area has lovely walking and cycling routes. There is a village about a mile away. The pitches are large on a grass area. We stayed here after plenty of rain but it wasn't muddy, the drainage seems good. Water, toilets, bins and chemical toilet wc all easily accessible. The owners are very nice welcoming people, and there were returning couples which is understandable as it is a very relaxed and pretty place to stay. We would not hesitate to recommend this CL.

Peaceful

Had a lovely stay here, very peaceful, very nice owners friendly and helpful, Great fishing lakes so happy hubbie , plenty of room and a tap to each pitch which meant I could not get shouted at for using all the water in the shower, plenty of places to go out and visit and a very nice fish and chip shop in village, thank you David and Tracy we will come back and this time leave with our caravan and not try and leave it behind!!

Well located for visiting Thetford forest and the Norfolk coast . Owners were very friendly and helpful ,very surprised to find that each pitch had its own fresh water tap with electric hookup with plenty of room between pitches, nice local pub within a mile which serves good food, will visit again Kathy,John and Molly

Friendly and in a lovely location

Beautifully located CL for exploring Thetford Forest. Great walking either direct from the site or within a mile. Nice little dedicated dog walk on site too. East Harling is only a mile or so away and has good basic shops and a fish and chip shop! Pitches well spaced and with individual hook up and water which is impressive for a CL. Friendly reception and happy to give advice on places to visit. Need to book as it was full for the 4 nights we spent in early May. We’ll definitely return!
