Fabulous value, fabulous walks, lovely pub.

Flat grass site. Big pitches with EHU. All for a great price. Along with the pub, cafe and small shop with a couple of minutes walk, there are also clean tidy public toilets, so while none on the site, it is really easy not to have to use your van's or caravan's. The coatal walks are simply fantastic. Be aware that the single track roads to get here are tight and the passing spaces small. However, some big vehicles get here, so it is possible.

Exactly as described

This site is a haven very well kept, peaceful and convenient for the village cafe who make wonderful sandwiches, the village shop and busy pub. The coastal walking is spectacular and on the doorstep. It is possible to walk to the ferry for Salcombe but it’s quite uphill on the way back.Richard the owner is one of the nicest, knowledgeable and helpful gentlemen you could wish to meet. Just a note to fellow campers it would be more relaxing for everyone if your dog was on a lead and the site is not used as a park for it to roam and exercise etc.etc. Otherwise nothing but praise for this site and the hard work Richard does to keep it clean and tidy. Very happy to return.

Large, peaceful, well-kept site

A big, flat, grassy field with plenty of room for five pitches. As others have stated, the drive to East Prawle can be hairy after leaving the main road (5 miles) but the destination is worth it. With the characterful and popular village pub (The Pig’s Nose), shop and café all 2 minutes walk away, everything you need is here. Warm friendly welcome by Richard the owner. With good EHU included the price is a bargain. Plus there’s a spectacular circular coastal walk that we did around Prawle Point. A visit to the Coastguard lookout is recommended.

Above and beyond!

We have just spent 6 nights on this lovely level CL. On arrival our fridge\freezer had decided to stop working.....a couple of fellow-campers were very kind, lending us a cool bag and blocks, and putting our wine in their fridge!!! However, Richard the site owner, went above and beyond; he parked his own motorhome next to ours so that we could use his fridge......what a star. He was helpful in many other ways, so friendly. As everyone has said you must follow the Lorry Route signs into the village as the other lanes are even narrower! The Pigs Nose must be booked in advance at the moment, and the food (and beer) are very good. We will definitely come here again.

Fantastic sea views - flat pitch and friendly welcome

Lovely welcome, the hedge has been lowered and had fabulous sea views across the fields. The lanes are a bit tight in places but we did ok with a caravan in tow. Therefore the advice to make sure you follow the instructions given by site is spot on, Devon style lanes with passing places so you will be using them!. Walked to pub for a drink a couple of times and also picked up a couple of wicked baguettes from the cafe/shop for the picnic post cliff walks. Stunning location and plenty to do. Really great site, would definitely go again. Thank you.

Lovely, flat and spacious

We stayed here for 3 nights in Sept '20. Richard is such a nice man and very keen to help in any way he can. A gentleman. The lanes nearby are very narrow so follow the directions given on this site at the end or you'll end up in some VERY narrow roads! We didn't know at which point to ignore satnav and follow Richard's instructions so ended up turning off the main road too early. We made it safely enough but it was hairy at times! I'd suggest looking at the end bit on a map before you come as it will depend on which direction you are coming from as to when to pick up his information. The site is in a lovely, small village with a pub and a shop and there are some beautiful places to explore around here. Would certainly return if in the area.

What a great site !

Having known the area for 30 years, all I can say is that you must arrive at this site very early in the morning or late at night to avoid oncoming traffic in the lanes. Its worth it. Richard keeps the site lovley and tidy. The grass is mown and no clipplings left. Everything just works and we were there 14 days and loved it. It is so quite and peaceful and there are lots of walks and often stopped at the Pigs Nose for a evening pint of beer. The Pig Nose stores stocked most things so you did not have to travel to Kingsbridge to often. Salcombe dairy icecream, the best in the world in my opion must be tried. We will be back.

The best in the Country

Like others have said it’s not easy to review this site being selfish as initially we think if we do we might not get in again BUT it really needs to gain the attention ,the area is amazing , the pub is amazing ( stumbling distance away ) the owners are so nice and friendly , first time in all our years touring the wife wanted to buy them a gift and a card , the walks you won’t find many places in the UK are breathtaking , all in all one of the best few days camping we’ve had and if the hedge had been 2 feet lower and we could see the sea I think I’d move on it permanently , honestly 10/10 and I don’t review many like that, oh and as an edit there’s no WiFi anywhere in the village ( none apart from in the pub ) but this site gets 4G where we were ( pitch 4 )

Peaceful CL

Loved this site. So peaceful and quiet, with access to the coast path, and a good pub a few minutes walk away. Owners very friendly.
