Be aware there are 3 dogs roaming the site off lead at all times, they will run up and bark when you come and go and can come across as quite intimidating especially if you have your own dogs with you on a lead. Owners were pleasant enough and refunded us for the remainder of our stay and we moved to a new site after 1 night but I wanted others to be aware this is not a dog friendly site (although the owner said the dogs were usually really friendly) wish we had read the reviews better before booking ourselves as others have referend to the exact same issues with the dogs that we had. Such a shame as the site is very picturesque and in a lovely part of the south coast.
An enjoyable stay in Denmead
Welcomed on arrival by site owner Roy, booking was easy with Sue via the mobile number and Sue responded quickly to my enquiry. Pitched on grass and hardstanding pitches in the car park with electric hook up are available if the grass is too wet. We stayed for two nights over a weekend and enjoyed the very chilled atmosphere. Toilet and shower available for exclusive use of campers and is accessed with a key code. There are two dogs who live on site who are very friendly and also two goats who follow their owners around the site providing us with some great entertainment ! Easy access on foot through the lovely adjacent woods to Denmead which offers plenty of eating and drinking opportunities . Roy was very helpful, cheerful and accommodating. We would definitely visit again.
Three oaks
Welcomed by roy and Susan 2 dogs 2 goats couldn’t be more friendly lovely site nice pitch on the grass not to wet had very enjoyable stay and if you like fishing perfect ,nice walk in the woods and plenty of local pubs .
Would definitely recommend this site
I stayed here about 3 weeks ago enjoyed my stay very peaceful, dog friendly a lovely fishing lake with a shop that sells everything you need for fishing hot food and drinks on site , clean shower and toilet facilities that are for caravan users only (separate toilet for people using the lake ) friendly owners I was greeted on arrival and directed where to park, good value for money I'm looking forward to my next stay in the summer
Don't go
Dilapidated buildings, poor signage, no meet and greet, having to park in the fisheries car park as grass pitches are overgrown wet and have goats on them! Surrounded by public cars for fishing coming and going all day, no space between the caravans as it is a car park! Cars started moving about at 6am! The only toilet is in a state of decay to be polite. There are two dogs roaming about both bark as you pass and there's dog mess around plus rubbish around.
The cost of £25 a night is very high for such a poor venue.
I did reach out to owner before posting but they were most unhelpful.
Worst experience ever.
We arrived to find we had to park in the car park of the fishing lakes, we were not told this on booking. Only a few feet between caravans, People arriving day and night, standing next to our van talking and making lots of noise. There are two aggressive dogs that roam free around the site which terrorised my old blind dog and my puppy. First time I have ever been happy to be going home. My recommendation would be avoid this site like the plague.
Below Average
We’d booked 6 nights at this CL, to stay there in September. We’d never been before but as CL lovers, we’d thought we’d give it a try. Imagine our dismay when on arrival we were confronted with a very unkept site with very overgrown grass with dead patches where previous caravans had been. The lady that greeted us was very friendly (not the site owner) and she explained where everything was. But the toilet/shower, although separate, was entered through the same door as the fishermen, that were present on site and using the lake. The whole area looked very run down and ramshackle and absolutely no security with many fishermen coming and going! At £25 a night it was well overpriced.

Great New Site
We agree with all that has been said before and note that separate toilets are now available for campers. A great site that we will definitely use again, as the site is very conveniently located for visiting relations.
Amazing CL site
This is a wonderful site. The owners are exceptionally friendly and seem genuinely keen to ensure you have a great stay. The setting is extremely picturesque and well kept. The addition of numerous animals living on and near the site adds a great atmosphere including 3 very friendly dogs, a couple of horses, goats, and a random white rabbit. The site is also next to a fishing lake. There is one toilet and one shower, which is perfectly fine for the size of the site. The shower always has hot water, however, the toilet is shared with the fishermen and suffered from cleanliness as a result. The owners seemed keen to hear our opinions and I believe that they intend to install a toilet dedicated to the campers very soon. When they have done so, this will be a very hard site to be beaten and in fact, it is not only better than any other CL we have stayed at but would also give the best of the official sites a run for their money. This will definitely be our site of choice when we are back in the area.
Thanks for a wonderful stay.
A peaceful place indeed
A great location right next to a popular fishing lake with wild ducks and moorhens. Very peaceful indeed on the large grass field. Plenty of room.
Nice pub within walking distance and woodland walks too.
