Wonderful Place

We stayed here for two nights (16th-17th May) on our Yorkshire road trip. This was our first time at this CL, and what a find. Immaculately kept, wonderful views, bird song and friendly owners. Lovely to see their sheep and the birth of new lambs. A little bit sloped in places, especially for Motorhomes, but with the use of blocks it was easily sorted. Great CL. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect

Returned as so enjoyed our week in May. Views amazing. Great welcome from Helen and Jane. So much to see and do in the area. Wonderful walks. Half Moon pub down the road does good honest food. Personally wouldn’t walk there as cars fly along. Dangerous in the dark. Will definitely return. Enjoy.

Just returned from a week at Trout Beck Farm a lovely CL in Nidderdale, North Yorkshire. Can recommend for anyone who likes peaceful 5 van sites in beautiful countryside. Walking distance to good pub and Brimham Rocks. Lots to do in the surrounding area. Friendly owners, very tidy site with EHU but no facilities. Sloping pitches so some leveling required. Great value at ÂŁ14 a night.

Great location, lovely site

We spent two nights at Trout Beck Farm, which is a great location. Plenty of things to do nearby (Brimham Rocks, lovely walks, Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal). Helen was really welcoming and had even prepared a map and instructions for a round walk to lovely Pately Bridge. The site is really tidy with some lovely pitches.

A lovely week in Yorkshire

We have just returned from a week's stay at Trout Beck Farm and will certainly visit again. The welcome from Helen was really friendly and she explained where everything was as well as telling us about some local walks. The site is sloping, meaning I had to jack up one side of the van to put a piece or 6" x 6" timber under the wheel on one side, as my ramp was not tall enough, but the leveling blocks are freely available so it was no problem. We had a fantastic view over Nidderdale from the van and the site was nice an quiet at night, with just the occasional owl hooting or cow mooing. The road is not far away (200 yds?) but is also quiet at night. The pub down the road, the Half Moon Inn does very nice food and is only 10 mins walk away, but take a torch! A lovely break at a lovely location.

Perfect CL

We have stayed here a few times now and would certainly return again. There is always a friendly welcome from Helen or the family and they are always helpful. There are stunning views and lots of walking options from the site. We walked with the kids to Brimham Rocks which is an easy and fun walk direct from the site. Pub at the bottom of the hill was nice (I can't remember the name!). It is rather sloping but there are extra wooden blocks on site. It is quite small, but perfectly formed! We love it. Easy access to Ripon and Pateley Bridge, Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks. A visit to How Steen Gorge is well worth it too.

3 lovely nights stay

We received a warm friendly welcome from Helen on arrival, explaining everything about the site and surrounding area. The cl is slightly sloping, but extra levelling blocks are on hand, the elsan point, water and bin area are centrally placed around spacious pitches. there are walks straight from site, Ripon, Pateley Bridge and Harrogate are all within easy driving distance. The is our type of cl, well worth a visit, we will be returning.

Friendly, welcoming and and helpful Trout Beck Farm

We have stayed here a couple of times and on each occasion we have been made to feel very welcome. The families that own the CL go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Our 5 year our granddaughter was taken for a tour of the goats and chickens by the owner and children of the CL. Our granddaughter talked about it all the way home, a great experience and memory for her thank you so much. Site slightly sloping, facilities are good. The views are beautiful. We had a longish motorhome 7'7" which was easily accommodated. There is a walk to Brigham rocks from the site and we went to a nice pub down the road 10 min walk. We also went to Fountains Abbey which is a 20 minute drive away. Will definitely be back to stay here again

One night away

We decided to stop for a night on our way back from Whitby to Preston and Pateley Bridge sounded good. As this was one of only two and the other was adults only - this was where we went. From Ripon it was a beautiful and peaceful drive along the country lanes (bearing in mind we are in a TAG big Motorhome). The online directions were good and we arrived to an extremely warm welcome from the host Jane who came out to meet us. As it happens we had the pick of all the pitches all of which have phenomenal views. It is also worth a mention that Brimham Rocks are just over half an hours walk from the site. Because we arrived at lunchtime we decided to ask for a taxi to Pateley Bridge due to the size our rig. To our absolute amazement Jane offered to take us but to drop us off at Glasshouses leaving us with a fantastic walk along the river into Pateley Bridge. This is a beautiful site and extremely peaceful and quiet. I simply couldn’t recommend it highly enough - thanks again Jane.

Perfect !

This was our first time staying on a CL , it was perfect . A very friendly welcome awaited us , lovely tranquil , scenic spot , perfect location for us as we were visiting Brimham Rocks and didn't want to drive the motorhome once we had pitched. Everything we wanted to do was in walking distance even the dog friendly pub was only a short walk down the lane , which served good pub food and made us very welcome. As most reviews have mentioned it is slopping so you do need blocks , unfortunately the ground was wet the weekend we arrived so we got 'slightly' stuck ..... help was at hand to tow us out the morning we were leaving .... Highly recommend staying for a quite relaxing get away
