Simply outstanding!

I can honestly say that Upper Duffryn is my idea of absolute CL heaven. Perfection in deepest Shropshire! It's THE most perfect CL I've ever stayed on. Really. Complete peace and quiet, gorgeous views over rolling countryside all around, perfect sunrises and sunsets. It's immaculately kept, with a field like a lawn, perfect basic facilities, information packs and also (most vitally) Delphine, who is a charming and welcoming host. My dog and I felt so completely at peace there, and can't wait to return. CL paradise! Extra tip.....if you pitch in the top left of the site you'll be lulled to sleep by a babbling brook on the other side of the hedge ;-)

A Wonderful Easter

"Thank you for the great welcome at the site. A wonderful Easter with peace and tranquility as well as some great walks and places to visit too. Clun Castle may be small but is big on character and Ludlow is not too far either. Thank you for opening up a part of the country I have so far not had the chance to visit fully."

A Quite Corner

Just returned from a lovelly weekend at this site - friendly welcome from owners with loads of information on walks ,maps & POI's. Many walks direct from the campsite - perfect for us and the dogs . An added bonus no phone signal and no tv reception pure heaven. Enjoy this site

England at its best

A nice small site situated in the glorious countryside in the AONB in South Shropshire that is a refreshing change from the intensive agriculture inimical to wildlife that pervades the area where I live. There is plenty of interest in the neighbourhood and many excellent country walks in the vicinity, and from the site. I received a friendly welcome from the owners. An advantage for some will the absence of a mobile signal, but for those that need it climb the hills or drive towards Clun!

Upper Duffryn

This CL was perfect for us & our dog. It is very peaceful with excellent open views; we couldn’t get a TV reception but didn’t mind. The grass was short & there were local information leaflets. There was everything we needed & the owners were welcoming. Clun is nearby & has a few shops but for a serious shop it’s probably best to go to Newtown.
