Nice location

Nice location with views over the Pentland Firth to Orkney. Found it a bit expensive for a CL, especially when you've got quite a hike to empty chemical loo (although the owner does provide a wee trolly to help the trek up the hill). Also not easy to drain motorhome grey water, had to use a bucket.

One of the Best

This has got be be one of the best CL's we have stayed on in over 35 years. Fantastic welcome from Kirsty on arrival, fantastic views, great walks from both site and nearby. Its great having water and waste on the pitch, the only slight down side was empting the toilet, we had read the reviews so was prepared for the hike with the great little barrow. Would definitely return. The weather was very good when we were there making the views stunning. We were sad to move on. Many thanks.

Really good location. Would definitely visit again and again. Owners are really nice and helpful. Nice peaceful location. Water and electric at the pitch. Can’t fault it in any way.

A great CL

I cannot recommend highly enough. Right from contacting the owners by email through to when i left they were great. A very pleasant area and great pitch looking out over Orkney. I stayed here in December in our 7.3m motorhome . I struggled to find it at first but the owners guided me in on the phone and were even there when i arrived to make sure all was okay and that i got settled in. Lovely site, great owners and i will definitely be visiting again!

Viewfirth - Well worth it

It's all been said in the previous reviews. Hard standing, serviced pitches and the views of the Pentland Firth and the Orkneys. The only bit omitted from the reviews is that it's a fabulous way of wasting time just watching the Gannets fishing in the Firth. We'd love to go back and if we manage to get to the area again we certainly will.

Wow

Booked for two and stayed for four. What a beauriful CL - one of the best we have been on in our 36 years in the club. The scenery is magnificant overlooking the Pentland Firth, watching the Orkney Catamaran ,sailing in and out of Gill Bay and the shipps passing through the seaway. Kirste and Steve constructed the CL with themselves from scratch, with five fully serviced hardstandings and a sizeable lawned grassed area between pitches. There are two clamping pods in the adjacent lawned field. They have taken note of visitors comments with regardd to the distance of the distance to the chemical disposal point and provided a four wheeled trolley for transporting toilets . The CL is covenient for either walking or cycling to the Castle of Mey. The roads around are quiet and ideal for cycling. We will return.

Excellent CL

Great site with spectacular views over the Pentland Firth. Hard standing, good size pitch with water and waste drain on pitch. Good walk down to a bay. Owner very welcoming. Lots to visit nearby. Will return.

Fantastic...

We stayed at Kirsty and Steve's Viewfirth at the beginning of July for 6 nights and had a fantastic time. We arrived to a lovely welcome from Steve and Kirsty who were there to greet us. As it has already been said the views are brilliant with Dunnet Head to the left, the Orkney's and the entrance to Scapa Flow straight ahead and Duncansby Head and John O'Groats to the right. The cl site itself is great with all pitches hard standing and all with running water and electric hookups with no busy road around so very peaceful. It is a fantastic stopover for the NC500 fanatics and a great place to recharge your batteries. I so hope they are successful and we will definitely visit again sometime. Mick and Chris.

Best CL on the network!

We recently stayed for a week on this fantastic site, all Pitches are hard standing and fully serviced which makes life so much easier. The views from our pitch looking out to sea were the best we have ever had, Dunnet head, Stroma and the Orkney Islands are all visible from your caravan. Steve & Kirsty are brilliant and made us feel so welcome when we arrived. We can't recommend this site enough. Fabulous week! Mark and Steve

Scotland holidays 2017

just stayed three nights on this superb c.l. on our way around Scotland, the pitches are sloping towards one of the best views you will get over looking the sea out towards the Orkneys, the sunsets were the best we have ever seen, Kirsty was very welcoming and very helpful , the site is easy walking to the Castle of Mey along a coastal footpath, and a few miles from John O Groates, you have got your own water supply and drain to hand , the only downside you have to take your toilet waste up a long drive which ourselves and everyone else took up in our cars, we would always return to this c.l. if returning to Scotland best of luck Kirsty ,
