Great CL

We visited the last week in February 24 and the weather was dreadful. Access was good and the facilities excellent. A spotlessly clean toilet. Very friendly owners. Amazing views, very quiet. Great for wildlife, birds of prey, owl, partridge, hare, pheasant, Fieldfares. Would recommend Harroway Organic farm, as well as Hampshire Deli farm shop and cafe and Wyatt's butchers. The pub currently closed but didn't bother us (the owner did warn us before we booked which we thought was lovely). A perfect CL. Thank you, we will definitely return.

Great CL

Lovely CL on a grassy field. We needed ramps to get level. Toilet facility very good. Walks direct from the site - we walked to Watership Down straight from the site - a beautiful walk across the countryside. Very peaceful location, in the evenings we could hear a very talkative tawny owl. Lovely views in all directions. Very friendly owner.

Peaceful site close to The home of Downtown Abbey

We stayed here to visit Highclere Castle and weren’t disappointed. This is a very well kept, peaceful site with a fab little toilet hut. It is a 20 minute walk across the fields to the local pub that serves great food and is dog friendly. Lots of great footpaths locally for dog walking. We loved watching the Red Kites circling above, such beautiful birds, definitely wish we’d taken a decent camera with us. Aswell as Highclere Castle we also visited Boughton Lodge Gardens, we thoroughly enjoyed both.

Lovely CL with toilet benefits!

This is a lovely unspoilt area - so quiet and peaceful. The red-tailed kites hover right over the field! Love that Gemma and Joe are working on biodiversity - it's so lovely to see the long grasses, wild flowers and the insects enjoying them. The toilet is a bonus and even has hot running water, which is a real luxury on a CL site. Gemma was lovely. The only question I have is - what is the lovely bird call you hear just before dark? If anyone can answer that then please do!

Great CL for relaxing and walking

Just returned from a really enjoyable 5 night stay. Access is straightforward, the last bit is via a narrow lane, but we didn't encounter any traffic on the way in or out. The site is directly on the Wayfarers Way, a long distance footpath with plenty of other footpaths going off in all directions. The owners are really nice, with a laid-back attitude that I appreciated. The local pub, The Vine, is a 20 minute walk (although it seemed to take us 30 minutes!). There is a clean, well looked after loo on the site, as well as one for walkers. The area is really beautiful, not what I expected from a site between Newbury and Basingstoke, and quiet. Lots of nature around, plenty of Red Kites, etc. We would definitely return.

Truly Lovely Spot

Lovely location, nice views and plenty of things to watch, from hovering red tailed kites to paragliders taking off from the private air strip next to the site. Good walking and nice pub just down the road. Nice welcome from friendly, helpful hosts who have made this site pretty much perfect. Clean loos with hot water, soap and handtowels (it's the little touches that can make a big difference) Good value for money and we'd certainly stay again!

Lovely surprise

Despite all the glowing reviews we were still pleasantly surprised at how much we have enjoyed our stay at Walkeridge Farm, the CL is very well cared for and the easy going hassle free welcome we received rom the owner set the tone for a relaxing mini-break. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, with a network of quiet footpaths, bridlepaths and lanes in every direction, if you are a keen walker, runner, cyclist or someone who just enjoys the peace of being amongst nature this CL is for you. We will be back

Fabulous views, walks, welcome & super pub nearby. Perfect weekend

Spent a fantastic couple of days at Walkeridge farm CL. Super location for walking, stunning views all around the area and from the site. Extremely friendly, welcoming hosts. They couldn’t have been more accommodating. We will definitely be back.

Peaceful site

We stayed at Walkeridge for two nights on our way to Dorset. It is a lovely, well kept field with electric hookups and a clean and well lit toilet at the end. There are lovely views and access to a footpath from the field. The owners are so friendly and laidback. We went to the Vine at Hannington and had a wonderful meal. It is very much a village pub, and everyone was so friendly. It was a real treat! We sadly left after the two nights to continue the rest of our holiday.
