Nice quiet site.

Although fairly compact the site has 5 large, level Hardstanding pitches with EHU, and there are also other hook up points for anyone who prefer to pitch on grass. The site looks towards Airedale and the southern end of Ilkley Moor, and is easily accessed from Warm Lane, off the A658 just after the roundabout with the A65. Care is needed when approaching the entrance as it is immediately after farm house and the CL sign was obstructed by vegetation when we were there. Although the site is close to some busy roads it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful, and the lane past it was a suitable for walking ones dog. There are a few footpaths close by, and for the more energetic tracks that lead down to the R.Aire through woods. Further afield good walks can be had at The Chevin country park, and Ilkley Moor of course. There is a Sainsbury's Local, with fuel, at the roundabout 1/4ml away, and both Yeadon and Guiseley have a Morrisons and an Aldi. For anyone wishing to eat out there is a pub and a large Chinese restaurant within walking distance. The site is ideal for anyone needing to get to Leeds Airport; Harewood House, always worth a visit, and Harrogate are also not far away.

Fantastic stop to see family

Arrived and everything was done remotely due to Covid-19. £12 a night in a fantastic spot with beautiful views. Dogs welcome on a lead and waste disposal is good. Several nice pubs in walking distance along with restaurants and supermarkets. Easy links to Leeds and surrounding areas. Very quiet at night with just the sheep nearby to keep you company. No shower or toilet block but amazing value for the location.

Ashes at Headingley 2019

We stopped here for three nights while going to watch the 2019 Ashes at Headingley. We given a friendly welcome from the owners on arrival. The site is easy to find with good access. The location feels very rural with lovely views, despite its proximity to Yeadon. Pitches are good size clean gravel hardstanding and are quite level. The drinking water and chemical waste points are good, and well spaced from each other minimising chances of cross contamination. Within easy walking distance are a Sainsburys local, and stops for a number of local bus routes. As we were in a motorhome, we used the 97 bus to Headingley and back each day. A very good CL for visiting this area generally.

Good value CL

This is a good value CL. It's £11 a night not the £10 advertised. Not much noise from the nearby country lane and good views down the valley. Ten minute walk to bus stops near the roundabout on the Leeds main road. We had a nice stay and will use this site again when in the area.

perfect

We were going on holiday to Croatia flying from leeds Bradford for 1 week then taking our caravan to Southport for a week. As we live in Ayrshire this would have been a round trip of 885 miles if we drove to the airport back up the road for the van and back to Southport. We called this CL and asked if we could park the van for week while we were away in Croatia they were happy to accept our request and this saved me over 350 miles. When I called the site it was explained to me that the site gets busy but as we would not be staying in the van and did not need EHU we could just park on the grass and it would not be a problem. When we arrived on the Friday we were the 6th van on site and I think I could be the subject of nosmo47 complaint if so then I can only apologise but I am sure if he had asked at the house they would have explained my situation to him. I feel sorry the CL is being complained about on my behalf after they were so obliging to my request. We would definitely use the CL again if in the area.

Easily met our requirements, however...

Disregarding the usual issues with Leeds traffic this site is easy to find and access is very simple. Check in at the house and ignore the 'beware of the dog' sign, unless you do not want to play with its toy. I received a warm welcome from the owners mother who explained where everything was and where I could park. The site is slightly sloping but the hard standing pitches are level, which was a welcome discovery for this motorhome user. Apart from the supply of water, chemical toilet emptying and trash bins this site has no other facilities. The EHU is 10amp, but we knew this before our arrival and it is reflected in the price. It was explained to me that the grey water was emptied into the chemical toilet discharge point. However as a motorhomer this was not going to work for me because the empting point stood about 15-18 inches above ground level (I was advised to just let it out into the hedge), but I do not know how caravanner's are expected to empty their wheeled grey water containers. A Sainsbury's Local and petrol station is 2 minutes drive away (5 minutes walk). The petrol is as cheap there as anywhere else in the area. When I pitched up the grass had not been cut for a while. We used this site as a base to revisit Leeds (using the 33 bus) and some local 'old haunts', together with some longer trips to the Yorkshire Dales. If you fancy Fish & Chips I would recommend "The Little Fisherman" on Yeadon High Street (closed on Mondays), but you will want to drive there because it is a 25 minute walk and unless you eat from the bag it will be cold before you get back to the 'van'. I was disappointed to find on our last day that six vans where staying the night, without any explanation as to why this had occurred. One reason I use CL sites is to avoid too many 'vans' at one time, I can only hope that this is not a regular occurrence.

Warm farm with a warm welcome.

Warm farm is a basic CL tucked away in a corner of Yeadon. The CL is of a medium size and consists of some rough hard standings and grass pitches. We chose to pitch up on the latter with views across the valley to Baildon. Although sited a few miles from Leeds airport it's a quiet site and hard to imagine your only 8 miles from Leeds city center. Supermarkets and public transport are a short walk away and a Sainsburys local just around the corner. We were here for a long weekend and made a visit to Saltaire and the Leeds & Liverpool canal for some gentle walking, both easily reached from the CL. The only downside is that although the grass is cut short the cuttings are not collected which normally isn't a problem but if like us you arrive and pitch up in the rain everything get coated in grass! And one further warning, the traffic and roads in the area are a nightmare and does not make for pleasant driving! But to sum up this is a great value for money CL, ideally located in a quiet and relaxing spot, just avoid rush hour traffic!

Very handy for Leeds and Bradford

We've stayed here a couple of times as it is very hand for visiting our families. There are no toilets etc, but it is a nice quiet site with friendly owners. The field is slightly sloping, with rough hard-standings and views into the valley below. Although it is set in an urban area, it feels rural with the lovely view and farm setting. Call at the house by the main farm gate to check in. A farm shop and small petting zoo is just a few yards up the road, handy for food shopping, and the bus to Leeds (HUGE shopping centre) is about 10 minutes walk away. There is a large Morrison's supermarket 10 minutes away in Guiseley, along with lots of local shops and an M & S food shop. Walks down into the valley include a circular walk alongside the River Aire and Leeds and Liverpool canal and you can also walk to the Woolpack pub at Esholt - the original pub used in Emmerdale, (souvenirs available in the post office opposite). It is easy to drive farther afield, if you are able to, to Otley, Ilkley, Harrogate (all very nice small towns) and the southern areas of the Yorkshire Dales - Bolton Abbey is particularly pretty and is about 40 minutes drive away.
