Fantastic site.

Stayed last night only for one night. Was made very welcome by Tony and his wife Penny. Even had a look at the two old coaches in his garage. Although the site was full, it was quiet and peaceful. Would definitely recommend this site to one and all. Regards Bob and Margaret Webb in their Warwick XL

Heaven

Just can't stop coming here, just love it so much. Tony & Penny are wonderful host, site is superb always well cared for, easy to reverse onto large pitches, weathers not been to kind but no mud and nice and dry on road and hard standings. Yes we will be back for Christmas, again.

Lovely stay

First of all a great couple Tony and penny the owners are the most friendly people. They gave us a warm welcome nothing was too much trouble. The site is clean comfortable and well maintained, pitches are large hard standings with good amenities making this an all year round site. Set in a rural setting, country side and animals all around. A couple of local pubs a short ride away offer great food and drinks. Ashford and Maidstone close enough to visit good shopping both towns worth a visit. Our dog was welcome. I highly recommend this site any month of the year.

Lovely stay

A very well kept lovely site in the heart of Kent. Some noise from the road and neighbours dog but overall a great stay on a great CL.

First visit to the Kent area

We stayed at Watercress Farm for 4 nights in April 2019. Tony was on hand on our arrival to point us in the right direction regarding the site facilities etc. He also handed out a sheet giving guidance on what is on offer in the area. As others have said, the site has large hardstandings which are well separated from each other. It has EHU’s at each pitch and a water point close by [as well as one near the refuse & CDP]. A perimeter dog walk is also available. There are quite a few footpaths in the area as well as quiet country lanes for cycling. Dering Wood is close by which is a Woodlands Trust area and was ideal for letting the dogs run loose. Lots of quiet tracks & paths. The Rose & Crown at Mundy Bois is around a mile away and looked to be busy when we called by. There is also the Dering Arms, close to Pluckley train station, that was a bit of a “step back in time”! The local farm shop was a 10 minute walk away and was well stocked with fresh bread & vegetables. There is also a village store in Pluckley itself as well as a butchers. Newspapers are available at the store. The only downside to the site, as others have mentioned, was the persistent barking of a neighbours dog[s] which did take the shine off our stay. Not the owners fault but it is something to bear in mind. Otherwise a super CL with a laid back approach to all matters.

Lovely Site

First visit to this site. Very easy to find and very good access. Met by Tony who was very welcoming and pointed out where the various facilities were. The only caution he gave us was to avoid driving on the grass as it was still a bit soft. He apologised for the grass which had only just been cut and was not as neat as he would have liked it. However no apology needed. a very well kept site. The site was level and with 5 hard standings the site is very well laid out. He placed us directly opposite our friends unit. There are two water taps. One near the entrance and the other about halfway around between the units which is really useful. The previous reviews mentioned some road noise which was evident but not alarmingly so. As we were prepared for it, it was no problem. However no one had mentioned the neighbours dog which seemed to yap for England, some times into the night. Now that was annoying. But I guess out of Tony's control . The site is very well situated for places of interest. We walked out, along a sometimes busy road with some very fast traffic. However we were soon off this and onto footpaths and heading for Dering Wood which is lovely . We ended up at the Rose and crown PH which is sort of almost behind the site. Lovely Pub, with lovely food. Dog friendly in the garden and bar area. The next day we walked up to Pluckley village about just over a mile or so. Lovely walk lovely village. Must visits are the Church and the black horse Pub. There is a butchers and Post office/ general store all within a gnats of each other. Overall, lovely site with a lovely host in a lovely part of Kent. Recommended.

Watercress farm

Visited this site after a caravan service and it did not disappoint. The weather at the time was snow and suface water on all major roads but the hardstandings here coped admirally. The actual day here was cold but sunny allowing for a walk to the nearby pub in Munday Bois Road about a mile away on a quiet road but I cannot remember name now! A stroll around Pluckey is not far just use the backstreets not road. The site is very well signposted and I suppose you can hear traffic but you are in farming country here. Definately worth a visit when the sun does shine.
