A Hidden Gem!

Stopped in here for a couple of nights in our motorhome and found Gary, the site owner welcoming and helpful, it’s a peaceful and level site albeit prone to getting waterlogged near the entrance however the pitches appear level and well drained, you get your own drinking water tap and the site is well maintained with the grass kept cut and collected to no dead grass to tramp into the van, and above all, Dog friendly. all in all a very pleasant stay and we can highly recommend the fish and chip lunch at the Beach house hotel just 6 minutes down the road by car or Motorhome.

No Longer a 5 van CL

This is no longer a CL although still advertised on the CAMC website. We arrived to find about 9 vans on site. A couple of them seem to be "longer term" holidaymakers. It is however a very quiet site in a good location near the coast and New Forest but numerous other arrivals were also surprised to find it was no longer a 5 van CL although CL sign still displayed at the entrance. Pitches are all grass with water on pitch and waste water into hedge.

Excellent CL

Stayed at this lovely CL recently. On arrival we were met by owner Gary who made us feel very welcome. Although we have been caravanning for many years this was our first CL with the CAMC, we were most impressed. Site very clean, tidy and quiet. We hope to return next year and would thoroughly recommend this site. Libby & Mark.

Excellent CL

The site is tucked away and very quiet. The grass is kept short and the ground is flat. The whole site is very large and there is plenty of space to spread out. Each pitch has its own EHU and Water Tap. its ideally placed to visit the south coast and New Forest. The owner Garry is very attentive and always on hand with any advice. On our departure day, Garry informed me that Lymington was blocked so he got in his own car and I followed him for a fair few miles on a Caravan friendly route through the New Forest in order to miss the blockage. What an incredible gesture. Top Bloke Garry !

Great peaceful stay & Lovely welcoming helpful hosts

Lovely peaceful site with large pitches and beautiful surroundings. Perfect location nearby everything we usually visit - Lymington, New Milton, Milford on sea, Highcliffe. Mr & Mrs Carter were lovely hosts and really great communication from start to finish! Will definitely visit again! Jessica & Bradley

Great little CL

Very quiet site, large pitches, grass cut and collected, water point on each pitch, small trees in centre of field which takes off the bareness of an open field, Mr & Mrs Carter very friendly, a two night stay as we were visiting our family. Definitely come to this CL again when in the area. Bub and Mos Motor home users from Cornwall

tom's views July 2018

Gary could not have been more welcoming and helpful when we arrived. The site is flat and well kept with water at every pitch which was great. We would definitely return to this site. Unfortunately it's shame that so many people do not bother to turn up or cancel their booking which happened whilst we were there. i think there should be some consequences for people who do this.

Very wet week turned out OK

This is a nice 'basic' site with electric, which we have just returned from after 9 nights over Easter. The owner has put water point close to all pitches and the site is well maintained. It has the usual recycling and disposal facilities - these are not particularly well labelled but are easy enough to work out. The CDP is behind just the bins, I missed it first time, maybe it's just me who is blind. The CDP tap wasn't working whilst we were there, but there are plenty close by which are - I used the one nearest the bins just a few feet away - I can only think this is a temporary thing. The entry is a little tight, but well manageable The site is grassy where the pitches are and hardcore road the other side. The weather was exreme when we arrived and couldn't get on to pitch (Front wheeled drive). A 4*4 owner pulled us on and we were squelching for 5 days as we walked back too and fro to our car. It was good to see all owners of the vans on site parking responsibly in the hard core drive (even the 4*4 owners). It dried up by the end of the week as the site appears to be pretty good at draining - we got off no problem The site is 2 miles from the beach (less than 5 mins to get to) and within very easy reach of the forest. The true test of a site is would I revisit - the answer here is a definite yes.

Note price is currently £12/night, which is about right - no quarrels here

Wonderful wayside

Just returned from this very pleasant CL. Lovely large flat field each pitch clearly marked with its own tap and electric hookup if required. It is situated well for visits either to the beach , forest , or towns . The owners were very friendly . We will be using again if we can get a pitch next time we're visiting the area . Thank you Mr and Mrs Carter for accommodating us over the bank holiday weekend. Kind Regards Mr and Mrs Banyard and buster.
