Relax at Wayside

Just spent 5 great nights at this lovely CL. Gary, the owner, really is a nice host & always has a smile & a joke at the ready. First time here & it won't be the last. A really nice flat field. Very relaxing & quiet, away from any traffic! The Co-op is 15 minutes walk. There are 3 pubs within walking distance.... The Brewers Fare at Hordle....... Don't bother & dog unfriendly! The Crown at Everton.....not open in the afternoon...so that tells a story. The Working mens club next door is very welcoming to visitors & dog friendly! At Club prices too! The Royal Oak at Downton 10/15 minutes walk... Take torches at night as there are no pavements & some of the drivers in the area, don't adhere to the speed limit. This is really the only pub worth going to. It's dog friendly, serves good local beer & does reasonable food. Busses are not too far away......at Hordle 15 mins Or Everton 15 mins walk. This site is nicely situated for walking the coastal paths.

Great Site

One of the nicest sites we have ever stayed on. Mr Carter was so helpful throughout or 2 week stay always a smile and a cheerful good morning . The pitches are very well kept with water and electric to each plot with more than ample space to set up. The Location is ideal for beaches, The New Forest, or if you like cities Southampton, Bournmouth,Poole are quite close by it's also close to Shops .Mr Carter recomended the pub for food just down the road and it was very nice as was the fish and chip shop in New Milton. Thanks for a brilliant Holiday Mr C we will be back.

Too close for comfort

Nice site with good facilities but owner doesn't pay too much regard to the number of units on the site and it's not that large.

Peaceful, sunny site

We stayed for 6 nights in August. A very peaceful sunny site, all the pitches are flat, plenty of room, and have recently installed electric hook up and water supply. There is a bus stop 20-25 minutes walk away, buses to Lymington, Christchurch and Bournemouth.  Co-Op which is open long hours is 15-20 minutes walk. Mr Carter was very welcoming and we will certainly be making a return visit.

Great Location

We stayed for 5 nights with our motorhome at the end of June. Plenty of space. Ideal location for visiting Beaulieu and the Sammy Miller Motorcycle museum. Great cycling in the area. Owner was very welcoming and informative about what to see and do in the area.

Great improvement

Having visited this site a few times with the previous owner, it was always my biggest dread trying to get into and out of the site as the lane is narrow and the entrance was even narrower. Joy of joys when we arrived this time, Gary has widened the entrance and made the general area soooo much better. I swung straight in without any problems and not having to motor mover the van in. Gary has also improved the site generally and is a great host. Keep it up.
