Peaceful & well located site

This is a great site, well located for access to the local area, but equally quiet and tucked away enough, should you prefer a peaceful stop on site. Good sized pitches in the area just behind owners property, no amenities on site so you'll need to be happy using your own facilities, but EHU available and elsan/grey waste disposal provided. There's a large pond and great views over the farmland to the south, and although there's a pub within reasonable walking distance (good food), there's no local shop, so be prepared; nearest town is Market Drayton, 10-15 mins Chester is approx 40 mins drive, 30 mins to Shrewsbury. Conclusion, nice quiet base, great clean and well kept site, will happily return if need to be in the area again.

Peaceful well kept cl

We wanted somewhere near to home to try out our new caravan so booked into Westwood. What a lovely site, beautifully kept and set amongst trees so you can choose light or shade. You can choose your own spot and the pitches are spacious and varied and not all in a row! There is a lovely pool to sit by with a glass of wine! Behind the house was a small wood to walk the dog. You need your own facilities onboard but that's what we prefer. Pub within walking distance although it didn't allow dogs. Lovely friendly owners. We will definately visit again

No WC or Showers.

Small site with drinking water, ehu, Waste disposal. No WC or Showers. Lawn mowed short so not to bad on a wet day. Very tidy place. Unfenced large pond. Plenty of room for towing in and out. Ideal for over night stay. £12 per night, no awning.

Lovely Site

We had a nice friendly greeting from I think one of the owner's daughters and her husband and were shown where everything was even though they were getting wet in the rain. We had paid for 3 nights which included £2 a night for the awning. However due to heavy rain we decided to give up on putting up the new awning and the following day along with some leaflets we were given £2 back. The site is lovely and we saw a woodpecker, heard a cuckoo and watched a squirrel sitting upside down on a tree! On the day we were leaving we met the owners who had been away for the weekend, what a lovely couple! If you use your on-board facilities, I would recommend this site.

A Superb CL Site

We enjoyed our first visit here so much that we booked to return again within a few weeks. Probably the best CL we have stayed on. Margaret and Graham the site owners are very helpful and friendly and keep the site well maintained.

EXCELLENT CL

Visited this site on a bank holiday weekend. Blessed with nice weather, a warm welcome and an exceptionally well presented site. Highly recommend. We shall return.

Westwood

We have been to this site only once. Very nice location, if you use a sat nav it does tend to take you to the wrong location. The approach roads are not to bad. The owners are very nice people, we did have a problem with the electric supply as it kept tripping out, the owners were going to get it sorted out.

joint best of 6 CLs visited on trip

In Spring 2012 we travelled from Ireland . Chose this site simply because it was about as far South of the Belfast/Liverpool boat (evening Arrival) as we wished to drive. What a lovely surprise. Friendly and caring but not intrusive owners. Very clean and tidy. Great location to explore area. We travelled as far south as Devon over the next month and of the 6 CL sites visited this was equal tops. The flat sorrounding farmland may not offer stunning views but the site itself is pretty and tranquil. Well done to Mr and Mrs Dale
