A wonderful site

Love visiting this site, always a lovely welcome. Good fishing for the husband with easy access. Potbelly pigs to keep me entertained along with the goats. All facilities always clean and tidy. Looking forward to future visits .

Great mixture of family friendly with peace and tranquility

From the moment I spoke to Debbie on the phone to make our booking, I knew we had chosen the right site for us. Debbie and Colin are the type of people you would hope ran your Campsite. We had a great Bank Holiday with walks, game of cricket, hide and seek in the Forrest with the kids and Debbie took the Grandchildren round the Farm to meet all the Animals which they thoroughly enjoyed. The toilet/shower facilities are nicer than a lot of big commercial sites and they have gone out of their way to make this a really lovely place to visit with even a small bar and large wooden decking area for the warmer weather. The fishing lakes look immaculate and very well kept ( all though we are not into fishing we could see all the effort that had gone into the fishing areas).

A 'smashing. c.l.

A lovely warm and friendly welcome from Debbie & Colin, to this c.l. Set on flat ground surrounded by trees, and part of a fishery, there is also a small bar area if you need it. Very clean and spotless toilet, and wet room style shower. Praise to Colin for the neat and tidy way he has formed the drinking and waste water, re-cycling, chemical disposal point etc, all on clean firm concrete area with a covered roof section to keep you dry when dealing with ablutions, or water works when raining! Good location in the mid Lincs countryside, with Sleaford around seven miles away with a good array of supermarkets, incl. Tesco, Sainsburys, Aldi plus others. Difficult to advise on present open attractions due to the Covid virus, but nearby is Tattershall with the Nat.Trust castle, and the charming town of Woodhall Spa, with its connections to 617 Squadron - The Dambusters. Visited a small cottage style museum last time we were in Woodhall Spa, but unfortunately currently closed, but I can recommend a visit at another time. Can be some 'entertaining' jet noise through part of the day on occasions from the RAF fighter training, but fascinating to watch these aircraft scream across the open Lincolnshire skies. All in all, a very pleasant and lovely site where you are well looked after by the hosts'. Thank you to Debbie & Colin, would certainly recommend.

Lovely site

Even though it says in the handbook there are no toilets, there is a toilet and a free shower, both are immaculate. A lovely friendly couple , great walks around the fishing lakes. Recycling bins provided, lovely site.

What a little gem

If you are looking for peace, quiet, excellent facilities and friendly owners look no further. We have just spent 9 nights in this tranquil site. The field is flat, no levelling blocks needed. There are plenty of hookups. Water, recycling and toilet emptying are in a purpose built covered area. The field is surrounded by trees with walkways through them. There is a dog walk complete with bin. The toilet and separate shower are very clean. There are lovely fishing lakes for the anglers, but these are great just to stroll round. The variety of 'pets' are amusing to watch, especially the pot bellied pigs and the ducks.. We caught sight of several wild birds and a hare. We are looking forward to returning to this wonderful site and will definitely revisit the Penny Farthing Inn in Timberland(on the way towards Metheringham from Billinghay). The Sunday lunch was superb. Many thanks again Colin and Debbie for making our stay so enjoyable.

Heaven

Fantastic site set in clearing amongst trees. Spotlessly clean WC/shower. Small bar and cafe available on request and food can be ordered and brought to you at your fishing spots. Colin is a fisherman and will offer advice if needed. Bait is available on site. The lakes are stocked with a good variety of species making it a paradise for the fisherman. Had a fabulous time here and will return. Easy access to Sleaford for shops and for getting to other attractions.
