Fantastic!

We stayed for 6 nights. A beautiful site, with lovely views. The owner was really friendly…she has 3 lovely horses in the field! The facilities are fantastic…..not sure about the showers as we use our own but I’m sure they’re good as everything else was. The field is sloping…..we tried to put our van back up against the hedge but due to its long length we couldn’t get it level so parked it with the front close to the fence, like the furthest one in the pictures. Nobody seemed to mind and it worked well there. Payment can be by BACS which is always useful.

Lovely cl

Just had a 4 night stay at this fabulous site. The site is gently sloping , but there are plenty of wood to level the caravan. So not an issue. The site is immaculate with bins for recycling and waste water outlet as you enter, all clearly marked. The block that houses the 2 toilets and shower is kept immaculately clean and we'll equipped. There is also a room with information, a washing machine and dryer for use with a charge. The chemical waste is one of the best that I have seen on a cl, screened by fence panels . It's was very peaceful with welcoming owners. Easy access to Easingwold , York and North Yorkshire. The views from the site are lovely, on a clear day you can see York minster. Will definitely return .

Fabulous CL site

Just back from a five night stay at this site. Very peaceful surroundings probably one of the quietest we have visited. Facilities very good with two toilets and shower, bins for rubbish and recycling etc. As others have mentioned, the site is sloping but there are plenty of bricks and wooden blocks available to help set up. There is plenty to do and visit in the area. We particularly enjoyed visiting Easingwold on market day (Friday). Lots of individual shops and cafes to visit. We had a lovely walk around the White Horse (approx 7 miles away) and visited the following day to do the forest walk. Hope to visit this lovely site again.

I keep saying I won’t review the best CLs

From the great views to the perfect location this site is everything and more I want from a CL. Friendly owner and immaculate in every way. It’s heaven on a hillside. It has a slope but bricks are provided to help on the corner legs. We have two young children and we have walleyed and played in this peaceful part of the world.

Lovely Site

Found this site easily, although it is a single track road, but visibility is good and other vehicles have time to see you. Site is sloping, as everyone else mentions, but we parked up by the hedge to maximise the view and had no difficulty levelling our caravan. We were welcomed pretty promptly by Pam who was delightful and exceedingly helpful. Didn't use the shower facilities, but good to know they were there. Plenty of recycling and rubbish bins as well as sanitary disposal. Water tap easily accessibly as were the electric hook ups. Lots to see and do in the area. We went to exlore primarily by walking and did some super hikes in the area. Lots of variety. Plenty of places to eat in the area and shops in Easingwold. BEWARE the nearest fuel stations are Thirsk, just north of Shipton on A19 or York!! Barn Owl definitely a bonus and the view is tremendous. Gloriously peaceful and no light pollution at night.

excellent

A fine site in a wonderfully tranquil setting. The shower/toilet block spotlessly clean. And a bonus - a Barn Owl flying over the fields in front of the site every evening, looking for his dinner.

Pleasant spot: good value site

Pam is a very friendly and welcoming host. Site very pleasant with good views . Excellent toilet and shower block plus info room. Great value for £12 per night. Only cautionary advice is be careful on the final access road from the nearby village green: it really is single track.

Nice CL in North Yorkshire

We stayed for 3 nights in early May and had a very enjoyable time - The good points CL is very well kept with excellent shower / toilets Owner very friendly and welcoming Great price £12 per night including electric Fantastic views across the Yorkshire Wolds Not so good points CL has quite a severe slope - although blocks are provided it is still quite steep Quite remote - reached by fairly narrow unclassified road Easy to reach places of interest inland or on the coast

Superb Location

This site must have one of the best views in North Yorkshire. From the Pennines in the west to York Minster in the south, the scenery is wonderful. The site is on a slight slope, but the owners had a big bucket of blocks available so it was easy to place the van to view the amazing panorama. Being only several miles from Easingwold and just off the A19, with a good variety of specialist shops as well as 2 Co-op branches and a couple of local farms nearby for fresh eggs, everything we needed was on the doorstep. Laundry facilities on site was also a great boon, particularly as we had been on tour a few weeks. York, the North Yorkshire Moors as well as the coast are all within an hour's drive. We'll be back!
