It's a lovely place to visit

The site is small but very well located. Only a 10 minute walk from Berwick, shops even closer. The site itself is lovely with a marvellous view over the bay. The pitches are well separated and most of them are reasonably level. There's lots to do if you like walking or cycling (a cycle to Lindisfarne is a must) and lots to see in Berwick itself. Highly recommended.

Lovely clean qell kept site.

We stayed here July 2021. Lovely clean well kept site. Staff were very helpful. Site is nice and quiet. Few minutes walk to beach and 5 minute drive to Berwick. Which is a must visit. Berwick is a lovely historical town. Nice walk around the wall. With great views. Plenty shops pubs and restaurants. Will definatley be back for another visit.

Incredibly stunning views , 5☆ mantainence , really really warm welcome on arrival. Wardens so pleasant and helpful. Emaculate facilities can't wait for our 4th visit in August. Thankyou Brod and Karen Williamson.

We didnt want to leave

This was our first visit. The pitch we were on has fabulous views. The site was immaculate and the wardens who were really friendly and approachable worked hard to maintain it. Its a short walk into Berwick, its not a very nice town never have we seen so much seagull crap on the floor, cars and buildings. Berwick is free parking with a disc. There is good parking (paya ble) at the train station with trains every hour to Edinburgh which is a nice day out. There is a lot to see and do in the area. But our favorite bit is the beach its big and does not feel crowded and is nice to walk along if the sunshines, which it did most of the time we were there. We are already planning to return.

Fantastic site 10/10

Fantastic site, this was a good random pick for our first family caravan trip. Views are amazing from the site, plenty things to do with in walking distance, 2 pubs with in 5/10 mins walk, shop about 15 min walk, or 20 minute walk to supermarket Asda/Farm Foods/ retail park, clearly much less to drive. Site staff are very helpful and friendly, we got half set up and realised our electric hook up cable was too short, I asked member of staff if they rent or sell leads and he went out his way to lend me his own cable, really saved us so much wasted time. Toilet/shower blocks are spotless with loads of space even when fully booked, generally around the site was spotless as well. Have re booked for 2022 and if available will re book late 2021.

Short few days in Berwick-Upon-Tweed

We have just spent 3 nights at the lovely Berwick-Upon-Tweed club campsite The check in was very professional and smooth All the facilities where clean and fully functional The view from the pitch was by far the best we have had, the pitch was in perfect condition and well maintained The Site staff where very friendly and had a great knowledge on the local area they also recommended 2 walks, an extremely nice restaurant and really nice Fish and chip which added to our enjoyable stay on the site The site had a very pleasant friendly/family atmosphere and would recommend to both families and couples The stay was definitely worth the cost and offered value for money due to its location and local amenities Tony Mck

Short 3 night break in Berwick

After reading previous negative reviews ( having pre booked before they were there) we arrived with an open mind. We have a campervan so the slight incline wasn’t a problem. The Scottish male staff on duty was very friendly and helpful and advised us about the site. We checked what was available and chose a site at the far end ( like a cul de sac) with only 6 pitches and plenty of room. Yes the trains do run by and will be heard by all but they are past in a couple of seconds so not a problem, unless you want to spend all your time counting them! Every site will have a sea view or part of one. It’s a fantastic option day or night and esp when weather is good for Ariel view photos. We set up in pouring rain with forecast of better weather next few days. Toilet block is only a few minutes walk from the furthest point of the site. So not a problem. The toilet facilities are kept emaculate and there is a band system of entry as for every site. It does get busy first thing am. It’s 5-7 mins walk to a sandy beach so excellent for dog walking. When we were there, there were very few children and in my opinion it’s not really a family orientated site but it’s a good place to use as a base with your van to stay and to visit local tourist places with children. The walk into Berwick is about 20-30 mins depending on how fast you walk. Lots of places to eat and drink. We were there for the Euro final and so booked a table in the Brewers arms and there is cheap wholesome food there. Also the Milan Italian restaurant in Wooler has amazing food and I would recommend that, but you must pre book. There are plenty of walks around the Berwick. Also recommended Holy island, Bamburgh castle and sands, seahouses but prebook a boat trip if you want to see bird wild life and puffins. Nice quiet bay to sunbathe and swim or paddle board is Howick bay near Alnwick. So yes I would definitely recommend Berwick and will deffo go back for longer time.

What a wonderful site

After reading reviews about the Berwick I approached the site with some trepidation. Yes it’s got an incline on the approach road but no so bad . The hard standings are the same standard as other C&M club sites . Yes the main line runs to the back of the site but mostly electric trains that hardly make any noise. The staff here are extremely helpful and could not have been better . The Berwick site is great and well worth a visit with so much to see and do in the area. Loved it….The views from some pitches in nothing but amazing looking out over Spittal head and the River tweed as it merges with the North Sea. It’s a place where I spent 8nights and wouldn’t hesitate returning in the future.

A bit of a curate's egg

Definitely good in parts ! Good points: Nice views from many pitches, pitches a decent size and some are level. Easy walk down to Spitall beach, which is a nice clean sandy beach, gently sloping and good for kids. A steady 30 minute walk into the town of Berwick, well worth a visit. Not so good: Inadequate toilet and shower facilities. Only 3 showers and three toilets open in both ladies and gents. Long queues particularly in the morning, and we didn't visit during peak. Rail line next to the camp, although funnily enough it didn't bother me much, the seagulls created far more noise! Some pitches very close to each other and some had quite a slope. All in all not a bad site, just be aware of above. Toilet situation may improve after July 19th.

Ignore the megatives

Stayed at Berwick site July 2020..Yes the are trains at the back of the site yes the site has norrow roads.. Tthe train noise is very low and Yes the facility's aren't the best.. But it's still a great site for exploring the area Berwick is a short walk away with food and drink aplenty at lots to see. If you get the chance to explore the area there's lots to do there I. E visit holy island Bamburgh Castle.. Alnwick Castle and some lovely little villages on the scenic coastal route
