Just one night!

Only spent one night on this trip at Blackpool.  Sunny weather made all the difference + a warm greeting from the wardens Steve and Dee.  Very clean and tidy site.  Toilet block up to the Caravan Club Standards +.  Quick top up shop at the large Tesco which is only 5 minutes away in the car.

Best Stay

We have been going to the Blackpool site on and off for a number of years. I have to say that our recent 10 day break there was one of the best stays we have had. This was due to the new wardens and assistant wardens who are now at the Blackpool site. They could not have been more helpful and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble and they were accessible at all times. My husband and I noticed that whoever was on duty walked round the site every evening to check that everything and everybody was alright. The site was very well kept, facilities were spotless everything was just perfect. We will definitely be returning to Blackpool, what a difference they have made. I hope they stay here for some time. They could give some other wardens a few tips on how to manage a site.  Thank you for a very enjoyable stay. On one occasion we vowed never to go back to Blackpool due to the attitude of the very rude and unhelpful warden, that was there before. In fact we wrote a letter of complaint about that one.  I hope they have not been moved to another sight as they did not have the right attitude at all.

Enjoyed Our Stay

A friendly welcome on arrival, plenty of space between pitches and well kept. Would have liked the toilet waste disposal a little closer and a bigger childrens park but those are my only grumbles. Its a fantastic park that we enjoyed staying on so much we have booked more stays there. :)

A site for lost keys!

We stayed here for 10 nights in March 2016. This was an impromptu trip to visit Blackpool after many many years. We were booked in by Julie & Hubby who made us very welcome and was very friendly and helpful. My sister came to join us at the last minute and we were lucky enough to get here alongside us. Again being in a motorhome we were so pleased to see so many hardstandings available to us. The ablutions and facilities were kept spotlessly clean and warm with plenty of hot water. I had a slight problem with the tumble dryer which kept overheating and swallowing my money. Julie soon came to the rescue and I finally managed to get my laundry dry. (If the club hasn't already replaced the tumble dryer may I suggest you do so as the old one has had it's day). There is a bus stop just around the corner and it's a short hop to a very large Tesco supermarket. You can also catch a bus into Blackpool. We got a Taxi from the site to the Pleasure Beach for a fixed fee of £8, a total bargain. Both warden couples were very helpful and friendly and we were most thankful for that when I inadvertently left our van keys in my sisters van who by now was back home in East Sussex. We stayed an extra night whilst waiting for the keys to be posted back to us. The site is flat and neat and tidy. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks to all who made our stay such a laugh and a pleasure. Regards Jules & Bill

Good for a short break to visit Blackpool & Fleetwood

Spent 3 nights here for a short break. The site was up to all the normal high standards and the engaging wardens appeared to go the extra mile by providing additional daily information on a chalk board of things for us to see, do and get involved in. This was also evident in the information hut with details of where motorhomes could get parked in Blackpool with post codes to find them easily by sat nav. Its location, close to the M55 and major 70 mph dual carriageways meant there was some traffic noise which is more evident early morning when the workers are on the move. There are no real footpaths in the area that will take you safely anywhere and so you have to venture onto the road to get to the bus stops by foot. The once excellent bus timetable from the stop close by at DWP Peel Park has now been reduced to only 4 busses in a morning, the last being 0921 and 4 returning, the last departing the town centre at 1636. These are to enable people to get to and from work at DWP but no one seems to use them, hence the much reduced timetable. A £5 ticket enables full 24 hour travel, including the 11 miles of coastal trams, and we found it very easy to use despite the short window to catch the buses in. We did not fancy the walk to TESCO’s where there was a very frequent service all day. See my story of our visit in the Forum UK stories section for more information.

April 2016

Just came back from a week here, the wardens were exceptional, very helpful, and nothing was too much trouble, service was outstanding. Only fault I could bring to light is the toilet block could do with being a larger size, as most mornings and evenings you would find a cue. Apart from this a brilliant place will be going back again !!
