First outing 2016

We have stayed on this site for the last 4 years and each time we receive a very friendly welcome from the wardens. The site is perfect for relaxing and handy for Blackpool and surrounding countryside if you fancy exploring. There were dogs on site but all were on leads and the wardens were visible on site for if they were required. Lovely clean and well presented site and yes we will be returning sometime this year.

GREAT START TO 2016

Stayed from 13/3 - 19/3. Had best welcome from wardens & the sun shone all week! Site, facilities and pitches spotless as usual. No problems checking in. Our 3rd visit and will def be back. Handy for Blackpool and beach at Lytham for letting our dog have a great time too! Regarding another review about dogs on site and lack of visibility of wardens - yes there were dogs on site BUT all we saw were on leads and wardens went about their duties DISCREETLY but very efficiently. Will be back again soon.Highly recommended site!

Another enjoyable trip to Blackpool South

Blackpool South is so easy to get to, friendly welcome from the wardens, nice clean toilet block, good sized pitches. Lots of places to visit, we enjoy going for meals to the Bell and Bottle near Kirkham. St Annes has great shops and walks along the prom. Freeport not to far away, and a bonus was having some sun. We have been many times and never been disappointed, we will be back.

Gem of a site

This is a lovely little site with its easy and close location to Blackpool and St Annes making it an ideal base. The site was easy to find following instructions given on website. We received a lovely warm welcome having had to phone the site to explain we were stuck in Friday afternoon M6 traffic. We received the usual CC introduction to the website and drove around to choose a suitable pitch. We were mindful (due to a recent experience at another CC site) of some pitches backing onto a road but choose one that didn't - so no issue what so ever. Yes we heard some road noise, and helicopters but these were not at all intrusive and it was extremely quiet at night. Yes we saw some people walking dogs - but on leads??? Therefore not sure why this would be relevant in a review unless to note that dogs were also welcome!! We saw the wardens every morning emptying bins and checking the water point areas, always smiling and always happy to say hello, and at times proudly helped by 2 little helpers wearing their "Grandad Special Helper" Hi Vis jackets, this just confirmed their family friendliness and sadly we didn't get to say goodbye and to thank them for a lovely stay, but we will certainly return to this site in the near future. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Perfect

First trip of 2016. Friendly and efficient welcome. Great pitch, clean washrooms. Its a great location and handy for Blackpool. Re review lower down i dont want to see wardens all the time, no need. I don't clock watch wardens movements either. Reference dogs on leads walking round, so what? As long as they dont leave a mess. we used to have a dog but sadly he died. I don't have issues with dogs. Definitely be back

Great Site

We arrived on site at 12.45 on 11/3/16 and were greeted by a warden who opened the barrier for us before we booked in. Wardens are new and very nice, helpful and friendly. Shower block was very clean and water hot and water pressure great. It's nice to see that the 'ladies' isn't closed for cleaning until 11.15 in the mornings which allows for a relaxed start to the day. The Information hut had ample info on buses etc which we used.  We found that if you walk to Tesco you can catch the number 14 bus which runs every 10minutes into Blackpool centre.  We purchased a daily rover pass which allows unlimited travel on the buses and trams. This was great as we went all the way to Fleetwood on the tram, had a fish and chip lunch then back on the tram to Starrgate which is the end of the line, then we caught a bus to Lytham St. Annes, for coffee and a walk and caught the bus back to Blackpool centre. Not bad for £5 each. We thought the site a bit noisy during the day with aircraft and the busy road nearby, but by about 10.30 all seemed quite and we had undisturbed nights sleep. We'll definitely  be back. Thanks for making our stay a good one.

new wardens

on arrival, the entrance barriers are closed, causing vans to queue on the approach road.you have to walk into reception and ask to be let in,then park and return to reception to book in.over the course of a weekend, not one arrival was let into the waiting area first.we arrived on Friday afternoon, and the first time we saw warden on site was Saturday morning.for about 30mins,and again on Saturday afternoon just before 5pm. site was clean, but it early in the season. nothing was said to the dog walkers, who used the whole of the site as a dog walking area.all weekend.definately not a patch on the previous wardens who were all over the site constantly

Superb

Never before had we been away for New Year, we decided to give it a go, we booked three days at Blackpool South Caravan Club site, which turned out to be one of my better decisions, we arrived on a wet New Years Eve, to be told by the wardens they were putting on drinks and nibbles in the reception, we attended had a good time with plenty of laughter which broke the ice with fellow visitors, well done the wardens, site was spotless, the weather did it's best to mar the visit, but it failed miserably. One of the best New Year's celebrations we have had for many a year.

xmas at Blackpool

The wardens for this festive period were very good, friendly and arranged a good xmas and new years eve get together. The food and spirit was all as it should have been, excellent. Pity about the weather but we made the most of it and the walks at nearby St. Annes were very nice, blew the cobwebs away. Nice site for xmas and new year.
