New van stay.

We have just purchased a new Swift caravan and wanted to check everything was ok on site. We chose Bridlington as its only an hour or so from home, good news van fine. The site was usual club standards great friendly wardens, only half the site is open currently, we did run out of gas luckily we carry two bottles but the site does not have gas to exchange on site. Perfect for walks around the area and the town itself. An enjoyable sunny February break.

What a beautiful site.

After touring the north for just over 3 weeks, we chose this site to finish our holiday off. This has to be one of the best sites in the North, if not on the whole of the network. The site is absolutely immaculate, from the beautiful displays to the facilities, everything shines CAMC. The grounds are perfectly cut, and it’s plain to see the hard work the staff have put in to making it what it is. Although we have been here before, it’s clear to see what the new management has put into place. From the added shrubs, to the new dog bins, to the whole ambience of the site is wonderful and is just what was needed. The shop is a real bonus, well stocked, not over priced ( under priced if anything) We were made to feel welcome from when we pulled up, the staff explained what pitches were available, how to pitch and although we are seasoned travellers, this was welcomed as the 2 peg pitching system is a new thing. The staff never seem to stop! Well done team Bridlington, you really have done a fantastic job and we will certainly be back!

Great site but let down by us members

Been visiting Bridlington site for a few years now and think the site is in a great location and well set out, just had a long weekend here and was disappointed to having to pick up and clean away the previous pitch occupants dog waste, this theme continued when we took our dog to the purpose built dog exercise area on site, we quickly had to put our dog back on his lead due to the amount of dog waste left behind, this even continued into the mens toilets where someone had left their waste all over the seat of one of the toilets I’ve seen lots of people complaining about how the club is ruining things for the members ie booking system but with what I have witnessed this weekend it’s members ruining this club for many others, we need to appreciate what our site managers/ wardens are up against to try and keep our holidays enjoyable.

definitely 5 stars.

We are touring the country right now. Bridlington has to be the very BEST so far and will be extremely hard to beat. The location is perfect, loads to do and see. Great food and beers nearby and fabulous scenery. The site is immaculate and the team are first class. Anne is totally on the ball and Gary and Lisa are so welcoming and friendly. We did visit during the school holidays and had to bite our tongues a couple of times. Kids were rather boisterous, playing games away from the designated areas , some of the kids with grandparents who were oblivious to their antics. The wardens were brilliant in dealing with the poor behaviour. The dog walking area is the best example of biodiversity i have seen. There are well maintained dog walking tracks within wild growth. SUPERB. Our favourite site.

Fantastic wardens

We have just had 3 fantastic weeks on this site and we must say the wardens are brilliant, friendly and helpful. The facilities are kept immaculate and at times my heart went out to them when children unaccompanied went into the toilet block just simply making a mess, ( toilet roll pulled out all over, toilet paper put in the sinks and taps left on.) The wardens should not have to put up with such behaviour. And members should know better than exercising their dogs on pitches, it’s unfair to people that are sat out eating and enjoying their holiday. Also the people who complain don’t like been told not to do certain things which are club rules. Well done to a great team. Mrs J Pearson

Quite good, definitely not 5 stars

Just returned from our first visit to this site with our grand children. The site is well located and laid out and doesn't feel cramped. Some parts feel a bit lacking in character and could probably do with more shrub and tree planting to break up the open areas. The washrooms were good. The only members of staff we interacted with were a very friendly and helpful lady, whose name I didn't get but she wore glasses and I had a discussion with her about the ludicrously impenetrable hard standing which bent 5 of my screw in rock pegs, and an elderly chap who chastised our young grandkids for tapping a shuttlecock on an open grass area behind our van.I can understand not wanting kids battering footballs around pitches, but come on a couple of little kids tapping a shuttlecock between them?Even our neighbours commented on that when they saw it and thought it was OTT We were on serviced pitch 47 and never in all our travels have I come across anything like it.There was about an inch or so of gravel and then the base beneath it was virtually like concrete. Absolutely ridiculous.I bent 5 screw in rock pegs trying to pitch our porch awning.Quite often you'll come across bases where you'll hit a large lump of aggregate but usually moving the peg a few inches solves it.This pitch was universally solid and it wasn't the only one as a very friendly chap who happened to have a heavy lump hammer which he lent me said.He had helped several people whose heavy rubber mallets had proven useless. When we stayed at Barnard Castle not long after it opened we had the opposite problem where the hardstanding pitches were so loose our jockey wheel sank in 6 inches. Levels are another issue. Some sites have pitches that are so far out of level they must have been laid by blind drunks. How can a club which is supposed to be aimed at caravanners and motorhomers not have professionally qualified clerks of works to supervise whoever lays these hardstandings?Another puzzle to me was the large playing field which stated no dogs were allowed. What puzzled me was that this field was also the tent field. Is it the case that on this site, if you are staying in a tent you cannot take your dog? On the subject of dogs,I did not like the dog field. It was a decent size but was completely unkempt.Long straggly grass, thistles and nettles with a few paths cut through them. This made it impossible to see where your dog was and exposed the dogs to grass seeds and other debris which can cause problems to noses, ears and even between paws.West Ayton has a great dog field which is kept mowed and is excellent for dogs to run and play. Finally, reviews. I don't take a great deal of notice of reviews on the club site anymore as far too many just give blanket 5 star reviews without seemingly reflecting on what 5 stars actually means. 5 out of 5 means perfect. Jobsworth wardens should be called out too. Maybe too many members love rules? UK Campsites reviews are generally more subjective.

A lovely clean site. Friendly wardens Perfect location

. It is a lovely site with Immaculate showers/toilets Freindly lovely wardens. The area has a beautiful unspoilt coastline with paths signposted to each bay. Bempton cliffs is a must for birdwatchers. There is a woodland walk called Danes dyke only a few mins from the site which goes down to a lovely beach. We have seen seals at Flamborough lighthouse below the cliffs. Scrumdudflyumptious in Flamborough has a little gem of a Cafe selling pastries sandwiches breakfasts. We received a warm freindly yorkshire welcone. Lighthouse fisheries sell the best fish & Chips we have ever had. Bridlington Caravan Club Site is a great place to stay with lots to do in the area. There is a phone signal and the wifi is ok.

Lovely site

We recently stayed on this site for 4 nights and really had a good time. We have been before so knew what we were getting. Very clean, tidy, good wardens. We like the variety of walks that can be had whichever way you leave the site. Also the different resorts within a short drive. I would like to compliment the wardens on the excellent little shop they have which is fully stocked. This is a rarity but is much appreciated.

Lovely Site

Lovely peaceful and spacious site just north of Bridlington and within easy walking distance of Sewerby hall, Sewerby cliffs and Danes Dyke. The site is immaculate especially the toilet and washroom facilities and wide pitches make it very easy to park a caravan without even needing the motor mover. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be coming back.
