Great location for the Cotswolds

Our first time staying at this campsite this weekend. Wardens were a credit to the site, organising a little get together for the guests to commemorate the Coronation which was a lovely touch. The site is clean, and well maintained, without the drone of a lawnmower at silly o'clock that you often get at sites, which was welcome. We had a serviced pitch and despite the rain their wasn't any standing water. TV reception and WiFi wasn't too good, but appreciate that's a work in progress. Visiting takeaways made arrival night a lot easier too, Fish & Chips (friday night) were great, and the pizza's looked good on Saturday too. Nice and flat site and the kids enjoyed cycling and scooting around (probably to the annoyance of the reviewer below - haha, you can't please everyone!)

Bank Holiday family heaven. But not peaceful

My mistake for booking over a bank holiday and not looking at site facilities ie playground which means children playing. The site roads are a kiddie scooter haven. I've endured today a constant stream of kids on scooters, screaming and shouting past the van and into the early evening. Even in the rain. Fine if you like that sort of thing, but no good for peace and quiet. Facilities good and wardens friendly and helpful. But it's a long haul to a water point if you pitch away from the crowds. Dog walking difficult unless you venture into the local villages by car. On that note, Southrop and Eastleach have some lovely walks across fields and river.

Great stay

Fantastic recent visit to this Burford site. Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful site and immaculate facilities. We extended our stay as it was such a brilliant place to walk, ride our bikes and explore. Definitely on our list to revisit.

Great Site

Stayed for 4 days last week (17-21 Apr). Brilliant location and very friendly helpful and welcoming wardens. The site is well laid out with immaculate amenities block at all times. Brilliant location for exploring the Cotswolds and good choice of food vendors from Wed to Sat. A bit noisy from the main road alongside and also alot of aircraft noise from the nearby RAF Brize Norton, quite often until the early hours, however with Sudan kicking off and the aircraft from Brize involved in the rescue may well explain some of it. This was not a problem for us as I have worked within aviation for my entire career and living in Norfolk aircraft noise is very common. Not off-putting in any way but something to be aware of. We loved it here and will return.

Spot on

I cannot say anymore than everything except the wi fi was spot on. The wardens were the most pleasant & helpful wardens I have come across. We know the wi fi is currently undergoing an update therefore accepted the situation. Keep doing what your doing wardens as we could not fault a thing.

Easter saviours

We rang here on Thursday 6th April after being let down by our original booking with another site. I spoke to the very lovely Anne, who was incredibly helpful and managed to book in two caravans from Good Friday to Saturday 15th April. Booking in was easy and all of the staff were very helpful. The site was wonderfully safe for my two boys with a lovely park and large field area for them to play ball games. The wardens were around every day, checking the facilities and emptying the bins. The shower block was spotlessly clean and very warm. Food vans were available from Wednesday to Saturday- mac and cheese, hjacket potatoes, fish and chips, pizza- all cooked fresh to order. We only made use of the chip van but they were excellent quality. We made use of the discounted tickets for the Cotswold Wildlife Park across the road and had a thoroughly enjoyable day out with lots to look at. The play are was fantastic and entertained my children for hours. Altogether, the site is brilliant. The staff are very welcoming and Anne was lovely with my two boys. We will be sure to visit again.

Burford over Easter

This was our first time to this site. it is ideally situated for all the tourist places to visit, such Burton on water / Stow on the wold etc..The wild life park , is literally across from the site and you can walk straight in .Tickets can be purchased in reception on the site.It even allows dogs. The only down side is the roads are narrow and quite tight on the turns ,especially for our caravan being8.5 M long. Pitches are quite close together and not very deep. Great for families but lots of children riding around at well over the 5 miles per hour limit .Would probably look for a quieter site next time or visit this site during term time!! Having said that the wardens were helpful and freindly.

Fantastic site

Our first time on a club site and it did not disappoint. A friendly greeting and explanation of everything on arrival. I asked several questions, more than one of which I am sure was stupid but each one was answered with a smile. Great pitch. The site is spotlessly clean. The wardens could not have been more friendly or helpful. The area is stunning with so many places to visit. We will definitely be returning. Thanks to all the staff there.

Great site for exploring the Cotswolds

We've always received a friendly and welcoming start to our visit at this site from all the wardens. Conveniently placed for Burford town and many other delightful villages and towns in the area. Places of interest nearby are Cotswolds Woollen Weavers at nearby Filkins, also Burford Garden Centre is a lovely garden centre to visit. Carterton is close by and ideal for stocking up on provisions at Asda, Morrissons or Aldi. We have enjoyed buying food from the visiting vendors, particularly the fish and chips on a Friday night, and the pizza van on a Saturday night. Highly recommend this site if you're wanting to explore the lovely Cotswolds.

Five star wardens

A site as only as good as the wardens and both couples here are wonderful. Lovely warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Spotless facilities with nice hot showers thanks to the new boilers. Lovely flat newly refurbished pitches and we were lucky to be be on the fully serviced pitches. Managed to get a good TV signal without using the bollard. Only negative the new club WiFi it's worse than before. Both of us purchased annual club WiFi and using the new Free WiFi between us we could only get one of 5 devices to work and even that kept dropping out, even though the site was only half full. I sincerely hope we will be refunded the remaining WiFi period we purchased. Unfortunately not sure how many more times we will use this one of our favourite club sites or any others due to the increase in prices when their are plenty of alternative sites much cheaper.
