Great stay

We love Clumber, visited three, four times a year. The only gripe I have is the times the toilets are cleaned. I think 10.15 am is too early. I know some one will say "use the other one" or use your own toilet? I get that, but it's not as easy as that, but as someone who has difficulty walking it's a long way.

brilliant destination

We stayed for 8 days and as NT members too we went to some part of Clumber everyday which was great. Facilities etc as good as ever although would be great to have a less stiff door to the loos then the kids could take themselves to the bathroom! Play area is brilliant with plenty of tree climbing and den building too! Lovely and spacious site.

Be warned

We have been visiting the site for many years and have always used the lock up for our electric bikes however during our last visit we found the bike lock was 2/3 cut through when we went to collect the bikes from the secure lock up! We were told our bikes had been taken out of the lock up in the early hours but thanks to a caravanner hearing the alarm alerted the wardens who were able to retrieve them-we thank that warden and caravanner. However there was no forced entry which is very worrying indeed. We did suggest that the wardens lock the bike sheds between say 10pm to 7am so nobody can get in but was told members didn't welcome that idea as they want to access their bikes 24/7? Well fellow members does anybody really want to be out cycling at 3am? We would welcome other views so we can all rest easy in our beds- literally and continue to enjoy all that clumber has to offer with peace of minds.

Comment from The Club

Thank you for leaving a review.  We have been in touch with the Regional Manager for this site who advises that the security of the lock up has now been changed and enhanced.  Members do require access to it late in the evening and early in the morning for bike riding in the park so in order to meet their requirements all members are given 24 hr access.  I hope this helps to address some of your concerns.  Thank you for leaving a review.

Another top site!

This is a very large site located close to the A1 and an ideal stop off or long stay. Large park so ideal for families, usual high standard CC site Lovely friendly wardens. I'll definitely come back to this site.

July 2015

Very nice site in a great location. Took our grandchildren who loved the play area and exploring the woods. ** Heed the advice of the very friendly wardens and use the secure storage for your cycles - I didn't and woke up to find my security chain cut and bike missing!

Overnight stay at Clumber Park

We had an enjoyable visit on August 1st - 2nd, taking our three year old grandson for his first experience of touring. Were able to pitch next to the play area which was very popular. There is direct access to the woods surrounding the site which means no roads to cross. It is ideal for exploring and dog walking. There are no shops nearby, so it is best to take all you need for a couple of days at least. As always, the toilet blocks were excellent, and the wardens helpful and friendly. We hope to return soon.
