A great feeling of spaciousness can be found at Clumber Park Club Campsite, which is settled on 20 acres within a generous 4,000 acres of lush parkland, where you can walk, cycle or ride. The campsite has a popular play area and enjoys an attractive setting surrounded by woodland. Children will enjoy Clumber Park as it is part of what was once Sherwood Forest and the reminders of the area's most famous resident, Robin Hood are plentiful. Clumber Park was once the estate of the Dukes of Newcastle, and is now owned by the National Trust. The house was demolished in 1938 but there is still evidence of the historic buildings that once stood to be explored.

The Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre is a mere 10 miles from Clumber Park Club Campsite and offers many attractions to entertain and educate about this legendary figure. The Major Oak is a must as it is said that he had hidden here, along with his merry men. The Clumber Park food festival, held in the heart of the forest, is a great opportunity to experience culinary delights and sample local beverages. The city of Nottingham is within easy reach of the campsite.

Great facilities , well maintained but normal non customer focussed caravan club procedures let it down

Clumber Park Club Campsite
Second stay for 2 nights at this site en route to Lake District. Faultless in pitch lay out, access to fully serviced, facilities and cleanliness. However the officious manner of reception team on arrival after a bad journey was not appreciated. You had already taken my money that morning , had my booking and car registration but as my membership card would not load ( no WiFi like I was supposed to remember that fact )I had to find another source of photo ID - how ridiculous. Also the model of having to drive around and find a pitch which may or may not be empty when you find it is crazy, then report back to reception when trying to get set up etc. This is not good customer experience .We were two double axle vans looping round after already 5 hour drive . The site is well mapped- surely should be able to prebook? I know this is not site specific but totally puts me off staying at any more C a MH sites. This is in stark contrast to the ‘other club’ whose friendly reception at the site barrier and personal escort to pitch shouts good customer experience.

First class site with very good facilities

Clumber Park Club Campsite
Stayed on this site for 5 nights - end of August/early September. ( a short break away on a ‘local’ site - about an hour’s drive from home. We arrived about 5.30 on Thursday evening and were greeted warmly by the lady on reception who explained the site layout and pitching arrangements very clearly. Although the site was busy we had no trouble in finding a pitch and had a very enjoyable stay. Since there was no phone signal on site we found the free Wi-Fi very useful and reliable even though we seemed to be constantly having to log in. A couple of observations:- The pot washing area was quite small and cramped. On the last morning we found that some of the shower/toilet cubicles had been closed off - presumably because there were less people on site - and because of demand had to wait for a shower cubicle to become available. ( no problem the first few days when the site was almost full)

Fantastic weekend break

Clumber Park Club Campsite
Just been to Clumber park for the bank holiday weekend. Always used CL sites so booked a club site for a treat and could not be happier. The staff on site were brilliant didn't have a membership card because now digital no phone signal on site but just showed my driving license and everything was fine. Was asked if preferred a quieter pitch and shown on a map where they were. Plenty of room on pitches. Got a card for the electric gates and a pass code for the toilet block and perimeter gates dotted about the site giving direct access to Clumber park and forest brilliant for walking your four legged friends. A great bonus for us was the food vans that came on site a fish & chip van on the Friday and a pizza van on the Saturday so didn't use the car all weekend. There was a bit of noise around the children's play area but that was expected it was in school holiday time and didn't bother us at all. The facility's were easily accessed and vey clean. Will defiantly visit again.

Great site but noisy if you don’t have children

Clumber Park Club Campsite
This is a lovely site situated in the heart of Clumber park, great cycle and walking routes from the site. The first thing were were told to do was lock our bikes in a secure shed despite them being locked to our Motorhome due to frequent thefts. This was great but a little disconcerting as one wonders what other thefts occur. The staff however were very friendly and helpful, always patrolling to make sure everything was ok. The fish and chip van seemed very popular on Friday night. The site was very busy and it is a big busy site, very noisy as there is a large play area, great for kids but as a couple we would value an adult only area. The people around us were noisy until gone 11pm which as annoying and thankfully we only stayed one night. I enjoyed the area but won’t visit again, too big and busy for us.
