Good for families

Good location

Lovely site set in the woods with deer roaming. Showers need updating as the pressure is very low. Site warden was extremely rude when my husband and I rode our bikes where we weren’t permitted to ( it was a genuine mistake, we hadn’t seen the sign) His whole body language was aggressive and totally uncalled for. For this reason we wouldn’t go back. Apart from that, the pub next door does nice food and the train station being so close was a bonus too!

When you come onto site you are given a map this shows it is a one way system in forse when you sit out side your caravan or moterhome you will see that they are all going one way also the site speed limit is 5MPH  this includes cycling and electric bikes that some of lycra brigade don't think this applies to then children oldies dog walkers  dear walk around the site and for the excuse you didn't realise you went the wrong way who long have you been cycling hope you drove on the correct side of the road to go home if you had hit some one becaues you went the wrong way the warden's would probably got the blame for that apart prom that I didn't see any praise for the warden keeping you safe with all the cleaning they have done due to covid they have a lot to deal with with people speeding. dogs of leads children running out of the wooded areas cyclists going wrong way and speeding members using the locked toilets and showers cubicle as a dumping ground for the waste so stop knocking them they have a lot to do

I actually didn’t say that we went the wrong way! I know it was a one way system, I know the rules of the road and am up to date with the Highway Code. If you had been there when this occurred then I would accept  your input, but you were not. As I said, we made a genuine mistake upon entering the site on our bikes to which we apologised for to the warden. Our displeasure was his body language and aggressiveness. I suggest you get your facts right before you comment.
