Lovely quiet week

Stayed here for a week at the beginning of September. Unusually the site is next to a Camping and Caravan Club site split by the railway line so some care is needed, also as stated as you turn into the site's private road you'll see a CL next to the bungalow, just drive past. This is not a riposte to the latest review of the site, but when we booked in I remarked to the warden (male) how efficient that process had been, one of the clearest I've experienced. We were meeting friends who were already on site so we just selected one of 2 pitches that the warden had helpfully identified as being free nearby. The site is not like many of the club sites as it's in a wooded area and the pitches are dotted around, in parts it's almost like several CL's and this gives it some charm. I'm sure the deer have been mentioned suffice to say it was great to see them every day, they are not shy! Somebody mentioned that the toilets smelled, none of our party felt this was the case, the shower blocks and toilet blocks were immaculately kept as the whole site seems to be and this is a credit to the team of wardens who we found to be a friendly lot. The Frampton arms is about a 5 minute wallk from a small side gate, beer is OK and the carvery is recommended. We'd go again.
