Good for families

Arrived 4pm, had a booking, they sent us away

Reason: We have more than 2 dogs. Greyhounds. It is nowhere written that only 2 dogs are allowed. Neither in the club book nor on the Internet. They said: It is not possible that more dogs than people are on the campsite. Thanks, after 4 hours of driving this is what we wanted to hear. Btw. We've been touring Europe and the UK for 10 months now - Damage Barton was the only campsite that sent us away.

That’s quite shocking.

This is an affiliated site so has different rules from club owned/operated sites. However, I can see no mention on the site’s webpage here of the two dog limit and it should surely be highlighted as it is different from the norm of club sites. I did eventually find it in Damage Barton’s T&Cs on their own website but it took a fair bit of searching -

http://www.damagebarton.co.uk/pdf/terms.pdf

Obviously, this club cannot force an AS to do things the way the club does but I feel something as important as this should be mentioned on the club’s webpage for this site.

Have you complained to club HQ? If not, I urge you to do so.

Thanks TinWheeler for the answer. No, I did not report it to the HQ. But You're right: AS should say clearly how much they charge for dogs (Damage Barton 2 £ per dog)  and how many pets they allow. In the Book and on the Webpages.

I unterstand it if an Owner has a limit of one or two dogs. And it is clear that not everyone knows how we handle dogs and their behaviour... and that we have about 20 little plastic bags in every pocket :0)

I’d certainly contact the club, GTP.

Greyhounds - great dogs. Are yours rescue dogs?

Yes, we rehabilitate abused and heavy injured Galgos from Spain. Galgos are Spanish Greyhounds.

I‘am sorry to rate DB down. But sometimes one has to say if something is not okay.

Do you read every terms and Con from every place you visit?

But yes it was my mistake. After so many clubsites we‘ve booked where dogs are no problem you dont expect it.

...Found in seconds... you‘ve clicked the link above, right ;o)

Serious: this must be on the webpage near the „dogs welcome“ AND in the book.

It appears that this is the same site, run by the same family, as that listed as part of the C&CC 'network'. Don't know that club's rules concerning numbers of dogs but as an Affilated Site I guess it's down to the owners to impliment those rules which they feel are in the best interests of its customers. However, I'm sure many would agree with a limit to the number of pets brought on a site mind and that comes from a dog lover. Just for interest what number is that which is more than 2?

DD, the T&Cs took me a while to find on DB’s website. They are not obvious. I think this club should make it clear that certain rules, such as the dog limit, differ on this AS.

The reviewer admits he made a mistake but I feel the club could have helped him avoid that mistake.
