Good for families

Arrived 4pm, had a booking, they sent us away

Reason: We have more than 2 dogs. Greyhounds. It is nowhere written that only 2 dogs are allowed. Neither in the club book nor on the Internet. They said: It is not possible that more dogs than people are on the campsite. Thanks, after 4 hours of driving this is what we wanted to hear. Btw. We've been touring Europe and the UK for 10 months now - Damage Barton was the only campsite that sent us away.

May be the time has come when a member should declare at booking how many dogs they will be bringing. This at least could be linked to the T&Cs regarding dogs and any limits an AS site may have.

It's not always easy to find the clubs Ts&Cs that are sometimes referred to on this forum, but people are often told its their fault and they should abide by the rules.

DD, the T&Cs took me a while to find on DB’s website. They are not obvious. I think this club should make it clear that certain rules, such as the dog limit, differ on this AS.

The reviewer admits he made a mistake but I feel the club could have helped him avoid that mistake.

As MJG 1959 says above I found it in seconds and it is not as if the terms are massive nor badly written like those of companies, CC Ltd included.  In fact, I have just tried to find the CC Ltd T's & C's and so far I have failed, but I know they are there; somewhere undecided

It is just a case of "caveat emptor".

EDIT: Still can't find CC Ltd rules.  Anyone got a link?

Do you read every terms and Con from every place you visit?

But yes it was my mistake. After so many clubsites we‘ve booked where dogs are no problem you dont expect it.

...Found in seconds... you‘ve clicked the link above, right ;o)

Serious: this must be on the webpage near the „dogs welcome“ AND in the book.

Regarding dogs yes, I always check what the T&C's say, to avoid the type of problem you had.

And I found it in seconds on their web site.

So here is an answer: not one single clubsite asked us within the last few weeks about dogs. Thats why I did not checked the AS. As I said: my fault. Will never book one.

But there is another reason...

Whenever we came to a CS, all the people around us were  honest happy with the Greyhounds and the two leading Pugs. They all are well trained. The dogs not the people :0).

They do not bark or running around or making stress in any WAy. And usually we have the Kids from the Neigbours sitting in the gras with the sleeping Greys.

We rescue heavy mistreated and heavy injured Greyhounds from Spain.

So far so good.

Off course DB does not know that. BUT when they say „we are extremely dog friendly“ and „dog walk on site“ etc. one does not expect that this is limited.

To all the Clubmembers who know it better because they read everything before they book a site :o): We are on the road now for nearly a year. Switzerland Germany Italy Portugal Spain France UK... We had no problems until now. And I never read any T&C. Why? Because I had all information BEFORE I made a booking. You see...?

I expect that Campsites or AS give ALL the informations about dogs on the webpage and in the book. Not just hidden somewhere in any legal texts. That would be fair, right.

But to me the problem is solved.

We all learned something and we know what we have to change to make the booking process better.
