Scenic Beauty

Only had two nights at this lovely site, wish it was longer but we will return. Nice big flat hardstanding pitches although grass available if you prefer. We stayed on the top terrace which had some noise from the nearby road but nothing troublesome and more than made up for by the outstanding country views. Normal standard club facilities kept spotlessly clean by the wonderful wardens. You can walk through a gate at the bottom of the site into the local fishing lakes and beyond to the local pub by the river.

Great week at Exebridge

We stayed for 7 nights 12th September. Very warm welcome on arrival and choose your pitch but only grass pitches available. Grass wet after heavy rain the previous week. Views from our pitch number 76 across the hills very nice to have a grassy area facing the hills instead of other outfits. You could miss the site entrance if your not careful so take your time on the final half mile. Nearest shop 3 miles in Dulverton very well stocked Co Op. Very big dog walk field to get the dog of the lead for a run. Facilities very clean and maintained throughout the day during this Covid time. We would definitely return to this site in the future.

Another lovely break at Lakeside !

We try to have at least a week per year at Lakeside - love the situation, and the area in general. We always find the site clean and tidy, and the grounds immaculately kept, and this year was no exception, only surpassed by the efforts made by the staff to make us welcome, and feel totally safe in these strange times !! The arrangements for using the facilities (wrist bands to hang at the door when in use) were brilliant and worked well, and the staff were quite obviously going to great lengths to keep the facilities clean and safe, while remaining friendly and helpful - they are to be congratulated !! See you next year, hopefully under better circumstances !!

Our stay in September

We had a lovely stay on this site on a hard standing pitch with lovely views. The facilities are excellent and it is the first site we have felt safe and used the shower . The wardens have worked really hard to help everyone feel safe using the facilities. You are issued with bands on your arrival which have your pitch number on and when using the facilities you hang your band on the hook outside the door and pick it up when you come out. Facilities cleaned twice a day.

Peaceful and Quiet

Had a super visit to Exebridge - calm, quiet and tranquil. It is somewhat remoter than I had anticipated and so I would recommend others are well stocked up before arriving although saying that there is a good Co-op, greengrocers, chemists, cake shop and fish and chip shop in Dulverton! The local pub - literally minutes from the camp site was also super. Although calm, quiet and tranquil, I can imagine that for families with very small children (or teenagers) there might not be a lot to do at the campsite or in the immediate area. This was a good base for exploring Exmoor. We did find that the service point was much further away from our pitch than we'd ever had before and so had to position our caravan in a slightly incorrect position as otherwise we would have had no power during our stay - extra long cables are a must for many pitches! System for C19 was well managed and we were reassured with the toilets, showers and sinks being cleaned twice a day - thanks! After the heavy rain that we had had, the grass pitches were rather wet but this couldn't be helped! As new members to the Caravan Club, I would like to see additional generic guidance to dog owners - as we had an unpleasant situation. But in absolute fairness to the site, they can't be responsible for the poor behaviour of the other campers!

Exebridge. Nice setting and well run

When approaching the site slow down or you may miss the entrance. The site itself is pleasant and most of the pitches are hardstanding. Unfortunately I ended up with a grass pitch with lots of mud to contend with and the pitch was right next to the road with a fair amount of vehicle noise. My advise is to book a fully service pitch as they are further away from the road. Good access to Dulverton about 3 miles away which has the nearest shops (a reasonable CO-OP which caters for most purchases) and a few small independent shops. All in all a nice site to get away for a long weekend.

Very peaceful and in a lovely setting

Stayed for 5 nights on a serviced pitch. Enjoyed every minute and COVID secure arrangements in place and well organised. Facilities were spotless and it’s the first site I’ve noticed where they close them for an extra short period to clean again. Well done wardens! The only thing to note is that if you are on a serviced pitch, make sure you have plenty of length on your water pipe as depending on which pitch you’re on, you’ll need extra to reach round to the tap. The taps are in the middle of two pitches so one obviously is more advantageous than the other for this reason. The grass pitches look like they get quite wet too. I shall reserve a serviced pitch again here as they are very well positioned as apposed to some sites. Also, by booking a normal pitch with awning, you can’t guarantee a hard standing if you want one. The dog walk here is excellent and there is a nice walk around the lake adjacent to the site.

WELL RUN SITE EXCELLENT COVID PRECAUTIONS

We stayed here for 2 nights with our motor home. The site is well run and the shower block spotless and covid 19 precautions well equipped. We loved the invitation to pick some fresh herbs which are in pots by reception, and it was great to be able to walk by the side of the lake on the adjoining property, really peaceful. Our pitch was in the centre of the site which proved to be a bit noisy, particularly with children whizzing up and down on scooters all day until 9.30 pm (Parents please note, that there is a very good play area on this site). The pitches at the far end near the excellent dog walking facility seemed to be quieter when we were there. All in all we enjoyed our stay, our thanks to all the team who work so hard to keep this site so clean and tidy. Would recommend this site for families in particular.
