Relaxed

Beautiful site. Pitches are moosive, toilet/showers nice and clean, music played softly in them. Staff/wardens couldnt be more helpful. I needed a gas bottle but they only accept cash for these. I didnt have any yet they let me take a bottle and pay them the next day. The site is quiet as in noise, the last couple of days its been full capacity but never felt noisy or busy with people, especially the showers, never had to wait. Dulverton 5 mins drive has a really wellstocked Co oP and worth a look around as is Dunston a medieval village. Anchor pub is 5 min walk its situated along the river and is lovely. We are eating there this eve so will post a review on their page. Opposite the pub is the car prk but also easy access to the ruver for the dogs or hoomans to have a swim/paddle. Defo come back here if ever want a relaxing break.

4.99 out of 5!

Visited in late September early October. Plenty of choice of pitch. Very clean, bright, well-equipped and modern toilet facilities centrally located and no queue at that time of the year. Tiered site, so far-reaching countryside views. We were near the road but got used to (infrequent) traffic noise after a while. For a quieter time pitch nearer the lakes. Be aware the gravel is a bit deep to run a solid jockey wheel across if you want to pitch 'nose in'. Friendly staff. Shop with all the basics but check opening hours. Check out the Black Cat road junction a few miles from the site on Google satellite view, as although remaining on the main road, you don't have right of way!

A Border site

A excellent site and great staff relief and site staff all hard working to keeping the site and facilities in excellent order. A lot to see in the area and we did not see all of it so will return again in the future, and the different terraces with good views made a change from the long rows of outfits around some sites.

5 ***** site

I've been a member for 39 years and only just discovered this site. We were on a service pitch last week of June and first week of July. The facilities were spotless and the site has a lovely open aspect with good views from most pitches. Great base to explore Exmoor and the North Devon coast. We cycled the Tarka trail twice and highly recommend.

Beautiful and peaceful site

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay on serviced pitch. Great uninterrupted view, watching the birds and some great sunsets. Lovely wardens, helpful and very friendly. Spotless modern facilities. 5 minute walk through parkland to nice pub, good food. Will definitely return!

Lacking shade.

A lovely site but not quite 5 star. Well managed, well kept. Very good wardens. Facilities to the clubs high standards except that in common with some other clubs the toilet flush systems do not seem efficient and often take more than one attempt to clear contents. I don`t know if the cisterns have reduced capacity but flushing twice negates any savings this may be aimed at if they are reduced capacity. Location is very good. When the young trees around the site grow the lack of shade here might improve and it will be more comfortable on days over 20c. More trees between pitches would be good to see for future caravanners too, it feels very bare at the top level in particular. The Dulverton club site with it`s older tree growth is a better option if the weather is forecast to be as hot as last week and the coming weeks are also expected to be hot, hot, hot. We will happily stay here again if the weather is our normal cool summer and on Spring and Autumn visits will always be our preferred site for Exmoor. The Lion in Dulverton is our preferred pub for a reasonably priced and presented meal. We are not dog owners but the Lion is dog friendly as is Exebridge site.

Dogs, dogs and more dogs

The site is in an excellent position, with facilities kept clean and tidy by friendly and efficient site staff. One problem - dogs. I'm sure that most of the considerate owners feel let down by the few owners who allow their animals to whine, yelp, bark, defacate and urinate seemingly at will. I finished up asking a neighbour whose dog barks at any close movement to keep the animal quiet. I was told that the animal was not barking even when it was as I was being given that information. I was then told to go to sites where dogs are not allowed. I suggested that it would be better if he controlled his two dogs which didn't seem to register. This problem has progressively worsened in the recent past on just about every site we have visited, to the point that we are now actively contemplating giving up on caravaning.

Fantastic stay....

We stayed on this site forva week and had the most fantastic week. For a start the weather could not have been better. Secondly the site was so quiet, only the first section was being used. As always the facilities are immaculately clean. Wardens are friendly and helpful.Apart from going shopping in either Dulverton or Bampton we just ‘chilled out’ every day, this of course also meant a stroll to the pub occasionally. And to crown it all (sorry for the pun) a great place to watch the royal wedding. That is until the Warden decided to cut the grass round our pitches during the service. But someone had a little word and he stopped. Altogether a really great week.

Peaceful site, relaxing location beautiful surroundings suitable for all

This was our first visit to Exebridge Lakeside and we will most certainly be going back, The site itself is situated in the most wonderful surroundings, fantastic views as well as facilities, the site is kept to the highest standard and is suitable for everyone, there is a fantastic play area and games room for the older children, a wonderful dog walk where the dogs can actually run free, a short walk to the local pub which serves great food but booking is advisable, there are also fishing lakes on the edge of the site Tarr steps is a wonderful day out and so is the village of Dunster which has a castle, Minehead is only a short drive away, the site is on the edge of exmoor national park where you can see the wild ponies roaming free, a real hidden gem

Best C&MC site we've visited

This has to be the best C&MC site we have visited in all our years of membership. Idyllic setting, beautiful views of hills all around. We were in pitch 10 which did get a bit of road noise from the road which is immediately behind this pitch, but it's a fairly quiet road, so wasn't a problem. We had a bank holiday weekend of glorious weather, and just enjoyed being on the site. Other members there were very friendly, and the wardens were exceedingly helpful. You can walk down through the site to the nearest pub, which I wouldn't recommend. The staff were disinterested and the food was only passable. Despite signs outside which said Ice Creams available, when walkers came in asking for ice cream, they were sent away, as "we can't serve ice cream as we're about to have a wedding reception here". Very off-putting. We will definitely be back to this site - and hopefully see some more of the stunning scenery all around the area. The drive from the main road up to the site is superb, running alongside the river and through trees all the way.
