Love this site

This is my favourite site, having a dog and being right next to a lovely country park which caters for all the family and it even has a dog agility course. The park its self is very relaxing and the staff are always there to help in any way.

Great birthday weekend

Spent a lovely long weekend here to celebrate my birthday. Chose a hard standing as weather forecast said rain but the ground was very hard for putting steel pegs in and bent a few. Other than that we had a fantastic break the weather was mainly dry, wardens helpful and Nene park on the doorstep was brilliant for our 2 dogs who spent plenty of time in the lakes. Ideal to visit Peterborough and  Cambridge which were both very picturesque. Will definitely return

Fun5days

Only one day of rain but heh this is England!!!!!  Plenty to do for all family, walks, biking, reading, lots of ice cream, which our son loved every night. Everything clean and tidy, friendly fellow caravanners and staff.

HOT WET HOT WET

We have recently returned from a week at this site and although the weather was mixed the usual quality of Caravan club facilities shone through. Great work from the wardens if a little over zealous at times.( would not let my daughter bring her car to our pitch to deliver /unload grandchildren's clothes, bedding and bikes etc, before leaving them with us for a holiday.) Watch out for tired hard standing pitches like 79 which flooded our awning after a period of rain.

Another wonderful trip to Ferry Meadows

We live quite near Ferry Meadows so when we have the grandchildren visiting we move to Ferry Meadows as they love it and make lots of friends.  We went cycling a lot as it is safe for the children with no cars in the way.  This time my husband and grandson hired a canoe and had a great time on the lake.  Yet another new experience for our grandson.   The site is always lovely and clean and the shop is probably the best stocked shop in the caravan club.  We enjoyed the fish and chip van and the ice cream man visiting every evening he was very popular.  Will be back again next year.  Thank you wardens for doing such a grand job.

good site

It was a while since our last visit, but again it is well worth visiting, down side was on the Friday night the noise from the motorbikes nearby was quite loud. Enjoyed the Nene Park, even though it was busy but plenty of room for everyone. Wardens helpful and site clean, but did not win the raffle.

Be Careful

We have been to Ferry Meadows many times over the years and have, on the whole, enjoyed our stays. However, the conversion of a number of grass pitches to hard standing a few years ago, has detracted form the open feeling of the site. The area around the kid's play area is particularly 'hemmed in'. We have also learnt (from the Warden) that there are plans being considered to build a bigger play area (with football pitch etc). I have no problem with giving the kids an area to play in - I was, after all, a kid myself once (many years ago) and I do not mind a bit of 'kid noise' but the Club needs to be careful - a once beautiful site is being milked for all that it is worth. Other than this concern, the site and its facilities (and the Wardens) are up to the high standards that we have come to expect. The nightly visit of the Ice Cream Man is also a treat. I will keep returning up to, and until, the site becomes simply too overcrowded.

Excellent in every respect

We stayed two nights in mid-August. The site was pretty busy, as might be expected, and we were offered a hard-standing pitch on what we were told would be the quieter of the two areas. The only negative element was that we were in the shade throughout the weekend when others were relaxing in the all too rare summer sunshine. We cycled into Peterborough on the Saturday morning along dedicated cycle paths (flat and traffic free). The adjacent country park was beautiful and very popular with families on both days. The little train was running and this was a hit with our grandson as well as the play area next to the café. Although we were quite close to the entrance/exit of the site, we were not disturbed in any way. The toilet block was immaculate, the shower cubicles had plenty of hooks, a shower curtain to keep the rest of the cubicle dry, an easily adjustable shower and a seat. Bliss! We shall certainly visit this site again.

safe cycling & dog walking heaven

Stayed for a week, with 2 dogs & 2 teenage kids. Stayed on west side as prefer hardstanding. Lovely & quiet, beautiful toilet block & well stocked shop. Right on the doorstep of country park, lakes & walks, bird watching & a variety of boats for hire. Lots of flat traffic free cycle ways, right into city centre. Lots for everyone of all ages.
