Beautiful site

We had a lovely peaceful weekend here. Beautifully landscaped, neat and tidy with spotlessly clean toilets and showers. Free hair dryer in laundry room great too. Water and waste on the pitch. Lovely walks close by and our dog loved the woods and walking around the lakes. Lovely - well done!

Peace and Tranquility

Had a wonderful 11 nights staying here. It was our 2nd visit and certainly will not be  our last. Fishing is excellent and Reception/Shop on site is well stocked with bait and necessary fishing gear. Shower and loo block kept exceptionally clean. So peaceful and restful the site is kept to a very high standard. One of the best we have stayed on. Thank you.

enjoyable stay

We have just returned from this delightful CL, it was just right for us. The location, nice and quiet with a view over one of the lakes. We were able to walk around the lakes and site with our dogs and my wife and dogs sat with me whilst fishing, which a lot of sites don't allow. The facilities were excellent on a par ,if not better than most CC sites! The walk into the nearby village was good as well as we could walk all the way without putting the dogs on a lead over the fields. The staff were helpful and friendly, we will definitely be returning( just hope the weather improves)

Touring caravan

Level site with good clean toilet block, grass pitch, wind turbines can be seen this didn't bother us but may be a problem for some, the site is secure as you need a card (£5 deposit) to enter, we booked for six days then extended to eight, have stayed once before and would stay again. Stayed April 2016, travelled as a couple

Fantastic site

Our 4th visit to this site which has now become our favourite.  It is a lovely peaceful setting with excellent very clean facilities and very helpful staff.  It is aimed at fishing enthusiasts and although we do not fish, the lakes are a lovely setting to walk our dog or to just sit and enjoy the view. Have already booked our next visit.

A great Easter holiday

Fields End provided the perfect relaxing holiday environment we were seeking from the hustle and bustle of working life. It was easy access to the site (do follow instructions), the pitches are level and well presented, easy access to water, drainage and EHU. In conjunction with a large safe off site areas to exercise your dog(s) off the leash. The wardens balance being caring hosts, without being over intrusive – coupled with the information pack you will have all you need to enjoy the site and surrounding area(s). We’re so impressed we will be booking again in 2017.

If tranquility is what you are after

Looked on Google Earth for the caravan park but only the lakes are visible so when we arrived we had a very pleasant surprise, we were allocated a very large gravel pitch with all essential services and with the toilet/shower block close by which were of a very high standard, all clean with nice hot water for showers. The site is very quiet until the wind blows, had lovely walks round both fishing lakes and watched some anglers catch some nice size fish, one of 12 1/2lb. We went to Cambridge via the park & ride bus at Long Stanton but had no problems with the roads in the area. TV signal was very good and WiFi we purchased for a week £24, but did not use all our allowance. All in all we had a very pleasant week, thanks to all the Fields End team.

A wonderful site

A lovely clean well run site the staff could not be more helpful, we visited in March but the site must look wonderful in the summer months as the grounds are extremely well kept. I am a fisherman and I fished the pit lake, my only gripe was that I was first on the lake at 7.am and picked a corner swim, but I soon found myself boxed in on all sides and had no open water to fish in, so avoid the corner swims. Wifi works but you access it online and pay by card I paid £6 via PayPal for 1 Gb but I noticed today that my PayPal AC was debited over £8 , charges I guess. The 1 Gb lasted just over an hour not the all day that was quoted. Those were small gripes but take nothing away from this site it's a wonderful place to stay, we will definitely return.

Great Fen

We used this site as part of our visit to the nature reserves at the great Fen which are 15 minutes from here. It is an excellent site with really large pitches and organised is small groups so even when full it would not seem crowded. The shower and wash facilities are the best we have found on a club site so far. The indoor washing up room is great for winter or spring. Really helpful staff and they allow you to stay on site till 5 on departure day for an extra £3 . A bargain but only when the pitch is not booked the next day.   The village of Doddington is very pleasant with Fish and chip shop and 2 pubs serving food. Lots to do if you like nature reserves and you can hire canoes nearby .  The sites major attraction is the fishing lake but as we don't fish can't comment. All in all a well organised and pleasant site if you are visiting the fens.
