What a cracking site - peaceful setting, welcoming wardens and the most modern shower block facilities we've come across with the Caravan Club. Made for a lovely weekend stay for us and we'll definitely return. Make sure you follow the directions here on the website when you leave the site, turning left on the A303 as you can make an easy u-turn back up the carriageway via the next junction. You wouldn't want to make a right turn near this fast hill brow.
Small, charming site
The site is small, peaceful and attractively laid out. The facilities are clean and easily accessible. It is an ideal base to visit areas in and around Somerset, Devon and Dorset.
Peaceful!
A great site with excellent facilities. The only thing I didn't like was getting back out onto the A303 as its hard to see out onto the road.
wonderful wardens a credit to the club
Excellent site for peace and tranquillity,we are feeling relaxed and the help full wardens turned our holiday into a 5 star holiday thank you.

A good clean site close to the A303
We have just returned from a two night stay at this site.
For us it was a real haven of peace and quiet as we recovered from helping at a kid's holiday camp nearby.
The toilet block was kept immaculately clean and tidy and we encountered no queues.
As there is no children's play area it would make a very good adult only site. We only saw 2 children on site and they were stopping overnight.
We had a non awning pitch and parked our car half on and half off the grass. This was not a problem to us at all.
We were very grateful that the warden pointed out the suggestion to turn left out of the site onto the A303 and to turn round using the slip road, although the entry back onto the A303 is not very clear when you do this.
Clean Site
Just picked this one for its location and was pleasantly surprised. It was clean and flat with a new toilet block centrally located. Plenty of space between units and surrounded by trees which kept the wind down. Only downside if you are pitched the wrong side of the toilet block it is a long walk especially for the ladies. But this is a minor inconvenience. Otherwise highly recommended.

Our Regular Haunt
my wife and I have been using this site for a number of years, which in itself is an indication of our opinion of this site. It may not be the quietest, the A303 can just be heard during busy periods, nor the most family friendly, with no specific activities for children, but the welcome is warm, the pitches and toilet block kept immaculate and its location is ideal as a base for exploring the local countryside and coast. The pitches vary in size but we have never had cause for complaint. We shall be happy to re-visit there for a long time to come.
Ilminster 2015 July
When busy some areas of site have too many pitches which means you are tightly packed in. As site is situated by A303 you do get a lot of traffic noise. Current security of lock and chain a bit of an inconvenience when trying to get off site to dog walk early morning! Facilities very clean. Would be helpful if dog area were to be made available on site.
